Tribal Council

          They hated the idea of working together, but it wasn't about rivalry anymore it was about Bella's and my own safety. They've been out there switching out when the Cullen's needed to hunt. I know it's not an easy alliance and so does Bella but it's somehow working. "Ari! Come on we're hanging out with Jake and Paul today!" Looking away from my window I let out a sigh. "Okay! I'll be down in a minute!" I yell back. Getting off my window side, I walk to my closet and grab a change of clothes. Quickly I change into them and head downstairs. "Took you long enough. Come on Edward and Emmett are dropping us off at the boarder." Nodding I follow my sister out of the house. "Good morning my beautiful princess." Emmett greets bringing me into his cool embrace. "Are you ready love?" He asks as we brake apart. "Of course, to the reservation we go!" I yell out hopping into the jeep. I hear laughs as the others get in as well. "You're so childish Ari." Bella says sitting next to me. Sticking my tongue out I look away from her.

It took us about five minutes to get to the boarder and there waiting was Jake and Paul. "Jakey!" I yell getting out of the car with the help of Emmett. "Don't they own a shirt?" Edward mutters holding Bella close to him. Turning towards Emmett I offer a smile. "I don't trust them." He mutters a frown etching onto his face. "Emmett, we'll be fine." I say reassuring him. "Ill be quick." "No don't rush, you need to eat." I say. He looks over at Paul and Jake before looking back at me. With a sigh he brings me into a passionate kiss. Pulling away I smile up at him. "Okay maybe rush a little." I utter pulling myself from his grasp. Walking over to the other side of the boarder I am instantly pulled into the embrace of non other than Jake. "Hello Ari bear." He says kissing my forehead. "Hi Jake." I say happily as I pull away from him only to be brought into another hug by Paul this time. "I'm sorry about wolfing out on you." He murmurs into my ear. "It's alright, I'm sorry for throwing you into a tree." I say making him chuckle. "It's cool." "So what do you two want to do today? Bike, hike, hang, it's your call but tonight we're going to a party." Jake says. Pulling myself out of Paul's embrace I think for a second. "Hmm I want to go biking!" I say making them all look my way. "Ari..." "Oh come on don't be such a debbie downer, please?" I ask giving her my puppy dog face. "That's not fair you know I can't resist that look." She says. "Please." "Oh alright, but be careful." Squealing I embrace my sister tightly. "Thank you!" "Yeah yeah, not like I had much of a choice." She mutters patting my head.

"Okay so this is the gas and this is the brake, don't pull to fast or you'll go flying." Jake explains. "Are you sure you don't want to try Bells?" I ask looking over to my sister. Raising her hands up she shakes her head. "I am positive." She says shooting Jake a look when he starts chuckling. "What'd I miss?" I ask looking towards a confused Paul. "Don't worry about it." Bella says looking down at her lap. "Okay? So am I ready?" I ask. "It seems so, be careful." Jake warns looking at me all serious like. "Okay okay sheesh." Looking down I start the bike up. I kick the stand up and pull on the gas trigger making me lurch forward. "Aria! Careful!" Bella yells. Ignoring her I go faster. Smiling I let out a squeal. "This is awesome!" I yell out. I press down on the brake only for nothing to happen. "Uhh Jake!" I yell out now worried. "Brake! Aria pull the brake!" They yell out. "I'm trying it's not working!" I yell out in panic. Think think I look over to my right to find a grassy area. "Okay focus Aria." Concentrating on my force field I make it appear around me. "Okay 1...2...3!" Jumping off the bike I land on the grassy area. "Aria!" I hear three pairs of feet running towards me. "What were you thinking?!?" Bella yells looking me over frantically. "Well I thought that the brake would work but guess not." I say wincing when she touches my arm. "It looks bruised." She comments letting out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness for your powers." She says shaking her head. "So I'm guessing no going again?" I ask earning a glare from Bella and laughs from Paul and Jake.

"Oh come on you can't still be mad." I comment as we walk towards the beach. "I'm sorry, I didn't think it would happen." "You could've been seriously hurt." She says without looking at me. "I'm sorry Bells please forgive me." I plead pulling her to a stop. Looking at me she lets out a sigh. "Please just never do that again." She says. "I promise." With that she pulls me into her embrace. "Awe they made up." Jake says coming towards us with Paul. Pulling away from our hug I turn and slap Jakes shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?" He asks nursing his arm. "For mocking me." I say slapping him again. "And that?!?" He asks clutching his arm in pain. "Because I felt like hitting you." "So abusive." He mumbles. "Are you sure we can be here, I mean I don't want to be a party crasher." Bella says. " Technically,you're a Council Meeting crasher.See. The Council leaders,Dad, Quil's grandpa, and Sue Clearwater. She took over for Harry when he died." He explains. "Okay I really shouldn't be here." She says quickly. "Harry died?" I ask only to receive no answer. "They thought it would be good for you both to hear the histories. Although Aria's already heard most of them" "The histories? The tribe's histories?" Bella asks. "Aren't they secret?" " We all got a role to play. And you're a part of this. I mean, it's the first time Seth,
Leah and Quil are hearing them, too. But you two are the first outsiders. Ever." Paul says wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "If we'd have know we would've dressed better." Bella says looking down at her outfit. "Speak for yourself I like my outfit." I say earning a chuckle from Paul. "Look whow finally showed up." "Hi uncle Billy." I greet leaving Bella, Jake, and Paul to themselves. "This is Sue, remember her." "Of course, hello Sue, How have you been?" I ask offering a light smile. "I have been alright." She says smiling back. "You better go take a seat I'm going to start my story." Uncle Billy says. "Of course, nice seeing you again Sue." "You to." Taking my leave I sit in between Jake and Paul their heat warming me up instantly. " The Quileutes have been a small tribe from the beginning..."
