Day Before the Battle

          I look at the ring Emmett gave me last night and smile. "It looks beautiful on you." Emmett says coming up from behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist. I turn to face him and place my hands on his chest. "Thank you, for everything." I say staring into his golden eyes. "You deserve more than everything." We smile at each other. He slowly leans in and places his cold lips upon mine. Slowly his hands meet my waist and slide down to my butt. I let out a squeal when he squeezes and laugh. "Emmett, way to ruin the moment." I say slapping his chest lightly. "Abusive. And I can't help it your butt looks good in those leggings." He says slapping my butt. "Stop!" I say a smile on my face. I fix my sweater. I slip off my ring and place it on the dresser. "What are you doing?" Emmett asks looking at the ring. "I don't want to lose it." "Or risk Paul seeing it." "I just want everyone to have a clear head, okay?" "Fine, but right after the battle you're going to tell him." "Fine. Now let's go we have to set up camp."

Walking out of the house we run into Bella and Edward. "Hey Bells." I smile at her and look over her my eyes stopping on the ring. Grabbing her hand I lift it up. "Finally proposed huh?" I ask smirking at the two. Bella goes red and nods slightly. "Be good to her, and you might not want Jake to see that he can be...kinda uncontrollable." I say. "We know. And I heard Emmett proposed too, Hurt her I will kill you." Bella says directing the last part to Emmett. Shaking my head I grab Emmett's hand. "So are you ready?" I ask. "Yep, we're just waiting for you two. Now lets go." We all walk to the jeep and get in. "Buckle up, Emmett drives crazily." I warn grabbing onto the handle. "Uh..."

We get to the clearing to find Jake and Paul waiting. "Jakey! Paul!" I yell hopping out of the jeep and running towards the two. I fling myself onto Jake and sigh once I feel his warmth. "So warm." I breathe clutching onto him tighter. "What are you doing weirdo?" Jake asks wrapping his arms around me. "Stealing your warmth it is freezing." "Alright let go of my girlfriend and let's get this over with." Emmett says prying me from Jake's grasp and setting me on the ground. Jake and Paul glare at Emmett before nodding slightly. "Bye Emmett, I'll see you tonight." "I'll see ou tonight." He says pecking my lips.

"Alright. Ready to go?" Paul asks after Emmett leave to hunt. "Yep." In one swift movement he picks me up bridal style. "We'll go right, you left." Paul says to Jake who currently has Bella in his arms. With a nod the two turn and start running in different directions. I wrap my arms around Paul's neck lacing them behind is neck to stay up. "We're meeting in the same place right?" "Yep."

After a few minutes of complete silence Paul slows down to a speedy walk. "Look about that kiss..." Paul starts trailing off. I look at him urging him silently to go on. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have forced it upon you, I want you to kiss me but only if you ask." He says. "Paul..." "I know I know won't happen, but I can hope can't I?" "I guess so..." "So are we good?" "Yeah we're good, I love you Paul...But only as a friend." I say. He lets a small slightly broken smile come upon his face. "Great,now let's get to the camping site shall we?" Without a second of waiting he starts running again. "Paul! Careful!" I yell.

We had gotten to the camp site and already set up the tents. Right now Bella and I are laying in our sleeping bag close together shivering. "I'm sorry." Edward says in a pained voice. "We should've gotten the heated tent instead." Emmett says in an equally pained voice. "N-no i-it's fine." Bella stutters out. I let out a cough and snuggle closer to Bella. "Is there anything we can do?" Edward asks looking at us with worry. "N-no" I get out coughing at the end. We hear the tent un-zip and Paul and Jake stick their heads in. "We can't sleep with all that teeth chattering." Jake says. "S-sorry J-jake. P-paul." I stutter out letting out a gasp as the cold air hits me. The two of them start to make their way to us only to get stopped by Edward and Emmett. "Don't touch them." Edward growls. "They might need their toes when they're older." Jake growls. "If they get sick it's on you two." Paul growls gesturing to us. "G-guy's" Bella stutters. "S-stop p-please." I finish. With hesitance Edward and Emmett move their arms away from the guys. Quickly Paul and Jake get in next to us and wrap themselves around us. "You two are freezing." Paul comments rubbing his hands up and down our arms. "You're so warm." I sigh out cuddling up to them with Bella. "You know you'd warm up faster if you took off you clothes." Jake suggests. I hear to growls and smile. "Jake." Bella warns. "Survival 101." Cuddling up closer I close my eyes and fall asleep Bella following close after.
