Wilson woke, but he wasn't startled in any way. He would have laughed. His fury had ignited. This shadow god was not going to get to him. Not easily.

A loud knock at his door did startle him, however. The sky was beginning to turn a rich gold. Who is knocking at this hour anyway?

Standing, Wilson walked over to his door and opened it, shocked to be met with Webber. All eight of his yellow eyes were brimming with tears, Aracnie shuffling uncertainly at his side.

"What's wrong, Webber? Has something happened?" Wilson asked, unsure why Webber would cry so hard over just losing Wickerbottom.

Webber sobbed but managed to choke out a few words. "M-missing... Everyone went missing this evening!"

Wilson's eyes widened. All in one evening?! Why would... the realization was a terrible feeling. He was next. That means...

First, he took Wendy and Abigail. Then Wickerbottom. He's taking the Gods he considers most of a threat to him.

"WE AREN'T MISSING, GREATER GOD WEBBER," The monotone voice of his creation startled him.

WX-78 and Wes came running into the clearing. Webber must have ran here when he found out about the disappearances. Wes was pretty much exhausted. WX-78 didn't even look winded, probably because he's a robot.

Wilson was still confused. "Well, did you see this happen? Were you there when someone disappeared?" He asked, rather these questions be answered now rather than later.

Wes raised his hand, then started making some sort of hand motion, like he was holding up a spear. Wigfred... he was with Wigfred when she disappeared, Wilson observed.

WX-78 and Webber shook their heads, the spider boy still crying his eyes out. Great, we only have one person that saw it and he can't even talk...

"Wes, did you see how it happened?" Wilson asked the Adventure guide, who nodded vigorously. He used his hand and made it look like it was coming out of the ground.

"SHADOW HANDS..." WX-78 said, a little bit of fear showing in his empty eye sockets.

Shadow hands... the easiest spell in the Cotex Umbra, able to move long distances from the user and bring something to it. Wilson hadn't tested that spell, but now he didn't have to, considering he trusted the Adventurer.

Of course, that depends where Wes and Wigfred were for it to work. If only he could go into detail about which direction it came from and how solid it was, telling the distance the hand had traveled and where it's home was.

Just one clue, Maxwell, and I'll be right there next to you.
