"A long time ago, the Gods arrived in Umbra, and under the rule of a kind and beautiful queen, they made the world a work of art."
"However, they did not allow one god to join in the glorious shaping of the world. A shadow god, who, in their eyes, would cause their fall. Only the queen saw his potential, and one night, he went to impress his queen."
"Cotex Umbra, a book of dark spells and evil magic, was stolen from one of the Gods, and since he hadn't attended the council meeting the month before, they had no clue it was him. All except one..."
Maxwell finished, pointing a clawed finger at Wilson. Nothing but the lower half of the Shadow Gods' face was visible under a black cloak and a grey book in his hands as it turned to different pages. Wilson leaned on Willow, feeling spent. "That fog can sap energy from living beings. It's a shame it didn't work on poor Wendy. I think it's because I stole the very life away from her sister," Maxwell cackled as everyone's eyes widened. Except Charlie's.
"Y-you killed Abigail?!" Webber screeched, rage and grief cracking his already very odd voice. Like a synthesizer being dropped down the stairs. (Haha reference >:3)
Maxwell laughed. "No! I would never! She's just not... well, not truly alive. More like undead," he spoke like it was absolutely nothing to worry about.
Anger flowed through Wilson's body, as he pushed Willow away and forced himself to stand. It hurt like hell, but at least he managed to surprise Maxwell.
"You... you insane fool! You have no idea what you've done! Where is Wendy?!" Wilson spat, gritting his teeth. He wanted to collapse.
"Oh, that I can't tell you, High God Wilson. But I can assure you that she is being well taken care of," Maxwell sneered, making Wilson want to reach for his Ice Staff and freeze the stupid man's head.
"But..." He continued. "I believe you may start seeing more anomalies here as well as disappearances. As much fun as I've had here, I need to tend to other matters. Farewell, Greater Gods."
And with that, Maxwell disappeared into a cloud of smoke, the room falling into a painful silence. The only sounds that came after the meeting was Webber's sobs, Winona's hyperventilating, and Wilson falling to the floor, unconscious.
