"Who's that?" Wilson pointed to the boy, Aracnie on his left and some other spider on his right. He was dressed in a black robe, hood down with bandages wrapping his arms over the sleeves. He had black hair, fairly messy, and he looked about Wendy's age. Odd thing was, the other spider had Webber's crest on its forehead.
Aracnie growled, as though Wilson should recognize the young boy. Taking a moment to think while the others waited, realization hit him like his rhinoceros clockwork creature. That's Webber!? Webber smiled as Wilson's face changed to utter confusion to disbelief. "Did you think that I was a mutated spider or something?" He asked, his voice changed to something more human-sounding.
Wilson was too overwhelmed to answer. Looking at the others, they showed signs of power loss as well. Wolfgang's muscles had become much thinner, making him look less than mighty. Webber, well... there's no need to explain that. Both of their eyes, including the unnamed spider's, had turned gray. Wendy was the only one that seemed unaffected.
Shaking himself from his trance, Wilson cleared his throat. "So, now that we know that we are all out here, how are we going to do this? We have all lost our powers, other than Wendy, I'm guessing, and we still have to stop Maxwell," He informed, all of them nodding tiredly. This topic seemed to be straining itself.
"But how are we supposed to even find him? And if we do, how do we fight him?" Willow whined, obviously quite annoyed that her Fire Staff was gone.
Wilson thought. Since their powers were gone, if the shadow fog touched them it might steal their life force instead of their powers. So they had to avoid it at any cost. No one else is going to die, especially not Wendy. She seemed so distant now.
"I'm not sure yet. We don't know what Maxwell is planning yet. He was at least smart enough to leave us guessing that, but we do know he had been trying to impress Charlie. We need to find her," He said finally, the others giving uncertain glances at each other.
Who am I kidding, we're never gonna get to Maxwell like this... Wilson thought sullenly. True, they could find Maxwell, but it could take a while. And then what? Smack him with some sticks? Ha, fat chance they could even get that close.
How in Umbra are we going to do this?
