scene xvi the freedom
that awaits usso bright, so light
the hope that shines
in the dead of the night,
your dark glowing eyes
ever so gleaming
the thin-lipped smile
ever so beaming.
the hope we yearn
have yet to be earned
hope is all but lost,
the future awaiting us is vast;
we are alive under the starry night sky
free from the lies that binds our eyes,
we have tried our best
to be young and free.
it is all that we could ever be.
the life we used to lead
so dark, so resentful
now everything is
so dreary, so peaceful.
climbing up the path
to regain back our strength
pushing everything but
our goals to arm length.
the victory of being free is near
this path becomes crystal clear.
raw screaming we make
the quick paces our feet take,
yet we made it, haven't we?
that fateful fate allowed us to be.the freedom that
WE HAVE ACHIEVEDauthor's note. i'm currently on a writer's block so i have nothing more but half assed drafts waiting to be completed...and this is my attempt at finishing a poem which could have been more but due to my incompetence, turned out like shit :D
