The warm and cozy scent of coffee and freshly-baked goods danced in the air, hitting your nostrils and making your mouth water. Cafe Bangtan is what the quaint establishment was called. It was a new small business that opened up in town and you were always eager to trying out local shops and cafes, so you decided to drop in and see what the establishment had to offer. Glancing around the small business, you spotted seven male employees moving about, every single one of them looking like they stepped out of a magazine. You couldn't help but wonder how this place wasn't packed with customers, especially with all the good-looking men working there.

Your eyes locked with the barista whom you found out was named Jungkook after sparing a glance at his name tag. Your gaze hastily darted away just a second later as you pretended to read the menu.

"Need some help?"
You startled a bit to find that the dark-haired barista was standing in front of you, leaning across the counter and chewing on his lip ring.
"I was having trouble deciding what to get. This is my first time here." You responded, trying not to stare at the silver hoop hugging his full bottom lip.
"I can give you suggestions if you'd like." He smiled charmingly.
"Sure."
"We have delicious lattes. They're carefully brewed, not to mention they look like pieces of art." His voice was smooth as silk. He pulled his pierced bottom lip between his teeth after saying the last part and you had a feeling he wasn't referring to the latte.
"That sounds nice." You tried your best to keep a cool persona. "What else do you have?"
"Well, if you need some energy we have an espresso, or maybe you're more of a mocha girl-macchiato maybe?"
"Yeah sure. A mocha would be nice."
"Iced or hot?"
"Hot please." You responded, fishing out some cash and handing it over.
"Coming right up." He winked.
You were relieved when he walked away, as it gave you a moment to take a breather and recover from... whatever that was.
Is this like a host club? You wondered, your cheeks heating up after the not-so-normal exchange with the attractive barista. Do these guys flirt with their customers? Is that their gimmick?
"You can have a seat anywhere you'd like." Jungkook gestured to the dining area. "I'll bring your order to you."
Giving a small nod, you turned away and moved over to one of the many empty tables. From your seat, you watched Jungkook move about the area behind the counter, mixing up different ingredients for your drink. He paused, rolling up the sleeves of his white shirt to reveal a tatted up right arm. Your eyes nearly bugged out at the sight and you could only imagine the tattoos went all the way up to his shoulder.
A customer entering the cafe grabbed your attention and pulled it away from the barista, a pretty girl with looks to make any guy swoon made her way to the register. Jungkook merely glanced back at the young woman that walked in, turning back to the beverage he was making for you. Another employee approached moments later and greeted the woman, though it seemed like a normal and non-flirtatious exchange.
Okay so it's not like a host club. You noted.

Jungkook held your mocha in his tattooed hand, bringing it over and placing it before you with a gleaming grin, showing off adorable bunny-like teeth that contrasted greatly with his lip piercing and tattoos.
"One mocha for the pretty lady."
"Thank you."
He took a seat in the empty chair across from you, catching you off guard. You gave him a mildly puzzled expression.
"I never got your name." He said in response to your confused look.
"It's Y/n."
"A name just as pretty as the girl that owns it." He commented, the suave comment sending a rush of warmth to your cheeks.
"Thank you." You held back a flustered grin.
"I'm Jungkook, as the name tag says." He pointed to the piece of plastic clipped to his spotless white button down shirt.

Unsure of what to say and feeling nervous, you took a sip of your mocha, the scalding liquid slightly burning your tongue making you hiss softly while licking away the chocolatey residue on your top lip.
"So hot." Jungkook commented.
Your breath caught in your throat and you choked on your own saliva, coughing a bit at his rather brazen words. "I'm sorry?"
"The mocha. It's so hot." He clarified.
"Oh." Heat akin to that of a blazing wildfire overtook your face. "Yeah. It is, but it's really good."
Jungkook chuckled lowly at your behavior.
"I hope it's not too forward, but would it be okay if I got your number?"
"My number?" You echoed.
"Yes. If that's okay with you."
"One question. You don't flirt with all your customers?"
"No." He chortled, shaking his head. "What did you think this was, the host club?"
"Briefly." You chuckled.
"So you like anime. That's cute."
A small giggle slipped out which only made Jungkook's smile grow.
"So, can I have your number?"
You nodded. "Yes you can."
He made no hesitation to pull his phone out and hand it over with the new contact tab open and ready for you.
Your fingers moved over the keypad as you put your number into his phone, handing the device back to Jungkook.
"Thank you." He grinned, looking down at the screen for a moment. "You'll be hearing from me soon." He turned his attention towards the register for a beat. "I should get back to work before Namjoon nags me."
You assumed Namjoon was his manager or maybe one of the employees that kept everyone in line.
"Enjoy the rest of your mocha, cutie." Jungkook winked.
"I will."

Let's just say that Cafe Bangtan quickly became your favorite coffee shop.

QOTD: Favorite coffee and/or tea?

AOTD: I like caramel drinks-usually a caramel macchiato or caramel frappuchino. As for tea, I haven't had many, they're usually too watery for my taste. I do like chai though! It reminds me of fall 🍂
