Ryan's pov:
When I returned to the room Harry was not there so sat on the bed and took out my book from my bag and started to read it. After two minutes, Harry came out from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. He noticed me I was sitting there. He took some clothes from his bag before going back into the bathroom. After 5 minutes he came out fully dressed.
"Where have you been?" he asked.
"In the reception room" I said.
"Why?" he asked.
"I have to make a phone call." I said.
"Don't you have a phone?" he asked surprised.
'Why he was asking so many questions?' I mentally asked myself.
I shook my head. "oh" he said and nodded.
He was going to ask something again but I gave him 'a look' that shut him off.
After few minutes later he started to speak again.
"I am sorry for what happened in the lunch" he said.
I turned to look at him with a blank expression.
"I don't know why my friends are acted like that" he said.
He seems to apologize sincerely even though he didn't do anything wrong.
"It's okay. It's not your fault. You just wanted me to eat with you. Besides, I was used to this. well, i always used to get ignored by others." I said and turned to read my book.
He just stand there and watching me. He then sat on his bed and took his iPod. There was a silence but it's not awkward.
It was almost 8 in the evening when harry asked me to come for dinner.
"No it was fine. I am not hungry" I said.
He was reluctant first but after a minute he left the room. I placed my book on the table and lay on the bed drifting off to sleep.
Harry's pov:
I didn't want to come to this camp trip but I don't have a choice. Everyone has to come to this trip. But turns out it's not as bad as I thought.
Now I am on my way to the backside of the hotel where the dinner was provided. I asked Ryan if he wants to come but he refused. I feel sorry for him. I don't know why my friends acted like that on the lunch. Ryan doesn't look like a bad person. He seems like a nice person.
Once I reached there I was welcomed by my friends.
"Hey man, here" Josh waved his hand from the table where he was sitting. I noticed my other friends are also already there. I waved back.
Once I picked my food I made my way to their table.
"hey babe" Eliza greeted me and kissed me on the cheek. We have been dating since the freshman year.
"hey Eli" I greeted back and kissed her back.
As soon as I sat down she sat on my lap.
Everyone was talking about the activities we participated today. It was fun though. But I didn't say anything. I just ate my dinner.
"Hey, Harry why you are silent?" josh asked me. He is one of the closest friends of mine.
"Nothing" I said and continued to eat my lunch.
He frowned at me and said. "What happened to you? You never acted like this before." He said.
I looked at him and asked. "What happened to me? What happened to you Josh? What happened to you all?"
"What do you mean?" he asked confused.
"Why did you acted like that to Ryan?" I asked calmly.
"You are mad at us because of that?" he asked. I just looked at him like he was crazy.
"Seriously josh?" I asked.
"Dude, don't tell me you are mad at us because of him? He was nobody dude. He never spoke to anyone. I don't even know how he was affording to study in our college. He was a total loser dude. If people saw you hang out with him you may lose your popularity. We have a reputation to keep up dude; we can only friends with people who are in the same level as us." He said while laughing and others also joined with him.
I don't know why but what he said was really made me angry. I removed Eliza from my lap and stood up from the table and looked at him angrily.
"You know what? I had enough. I don't know why you guys are acting like this. I don't know why I have been friends with you. You don't have any rights to speak about someone you don't even know. He may be poor but, he seems like a good person to me. Money is not everything. If you guys are friends with me because of my money then fuck off." I said. Everyone looked at me surprised. I don't know why I defend him but speaking about him like that made me angry.
Josh tried to say something but before he could I left the table. Eliza called me and followed me.
"Honey wait.." she said.
She about to reach me but something made her loose her balance and she tripped. Before she fell I caught her. My one arm around her waist and another one were holding her right hand. Our faces are so close to each other. I don't know why but suddenly the image of Ryan on top of me appeared in my mind reminding the incident happened in the morning. Eliza tried to kiss me but I shook my head and helped her to stand on her feet. I was shaking my head to get rid of the image. But it was continuously popping into my mind.
Eliza came near me and traced her finger on my chest seductively.
"Honey, don't mad at our friends. They just worried about you" she said.
"By the way, do you want to come to my room for the night? We could have some fun" she said huskily.
I removed her hand from my body and shook my head.
"Sorry Eli, I can't today. I am not in the mood." I said.
"Come on..." she said.
I shook my head. "Sorry babe, not today" I said and turned to leave.
I reached my room and opened the door. Once I was inside I closed the door and locked the room. When I reached the bedroom I noticed Ryan was already sleeping. He was curled like a small baby. I smiled at the sight.
Josh words are replayed in my head and I got angry. I don't know what's wrong with him. Ryan doesn't seem like a bad person. He was far away from that. He looks so innocent. I watched him sleeping peacefully; I took the bed sheet from the base of his bed and covered him with it up to his neck. He purred like a cat and that made me smile.
After that I changed into my night pants and shirts and tucked myself in the bed.
After a few minutes I drifted off to sleep. Before I fell asleep I turned to look at him and smiled.
"Maybe this trip is not bad after all."
