CHAPTER 20

Harry's pov:

we continued to eat our food when i heard the annoying voice.

"Harry....." I groaned and turned to look at the person.

"What do you want Eliza?" I asked angrily.

"What? Can't I come to see my boyfriend?" she said and looked at Ryan.

When I saw him he was looking at his food sadly. Why he was looking sad?

I turned to her and asked.

"Didn't you know the meaning of break up? We are over and I am not your boyfriend." I said with gritted teeth.

She completely ignores me and turned to look at Jack.

"Hey Jack, when did you came back from your trip?" she asked.

"Yesterday, Eliza." He said and gave her a fake smile.

I don't know why but, Jack also never liked Eliza before just like my mom. I feel like a complete idiot for dated her for almost a year.

"Ok. Why don't you come to our usual table? Why are you sitting here?" she asked.

"Is it any of your business? If he wants to sit here then he can. Why don't you go back to your usual table?" Lena asked with an annoyed tone.

"I am not asking you Lena" Eliza said and turned to Jack.

"It's okay Eliza. Since I already here I can eat lunch with them. Moreover if I go to your table now it will be rude to Ryan. He only has Harry and Lena so, I can eat with them." He said with the same smile.

"Why are you caring about him? You never did before." She asked with the irritated tone.

"Because, he is Harry's friend which means he is also my friend. That's why." he said still trying to keep the smile on his face.

"Ahh, I can't believe you are ditching us for that fag" she said.

That it. Before I was about to say something Jack stood up from his seat and faced Eliza.

"Don't call him that. Ever. You know what? I never liked you in the first place nor your popular friends. I never want to be a popular person. I was with you guys because of Harry only."

Eliza just stood there looking shocked. Well, we all. Jack was always a calm person and he never snapped like this before. Well, I am happy that Jack stood up for Ryan.

"Now, if you leave us alone we can eat our lunch peacefully." He said.

Eliza huffed and turned to leave.

"That was unexpected" Lena said.

"Yeah, but thanks man" I said and patted him on the shoulder.

"She deserved it. I don't even know how you put up with her for this long." He said and turned to look at Ryan.

"Please don't remind me" I said.

"You okay Ryan?" he asked.

"Yeah..." Ryan said silently.

"Don't let her words get you Ryan." Lena said and Ryan gave her a small smile.

After that we continued to eat. Suddenly I remembered I have to ask Ryan to come to my place today.

"Ryan, wait for me after the class ends. We can go to my house to do the project today. And you don't have to go for work. I talked with my uncle and he said you could get some days off and don't worry you will get your full payment. And he also said sorry for last night and he said he will make sure nothing like that will ever happen again." I said.
