○ Summary ○
Melanie Eaton.
Of all the first seven years of her life, it is anything but enjoyable. She has spent her entire childhood life in misery as she experienced the abusive behavior of her father, Marcus, the death of her mother, Evelyn, and watching her brother, Tobias, transfer to another faction.
It is only not soon enough for her to realize that she needed to figure out a way out of this dark tunnel of horrible deeds acted upon her. Sooner or later she realizes that she has completely (and illegally) left her own faction, thus joining a new one and a new family. Though little did she know about them.
After hiding amidst in the shadows for the next years, Melanie Eaton has turned sixteen, when has finally come to an age where she is expected to attend the choosing ceremony; an annual event where people of her age are to choose which faction they would wish to be for the rest of their lives at their free will.
Melanie finds a familiar face. Dark truths from her past uncovers.
