Chapter 8:Reunited

The sun shining through the window of your infimary window forcibly wakes you up. "Damn it why do I have to be next to the window" you said annoyed you rubbed your eyes and sat up in your bed only to feel arms wrap around you. To your surprise Monika was hugging you tight while letting out a deep exhale to relax "I'm so sorry y/n for everything that happened to you I should have helped more" she said letting some tears fall down her cheeks. "Its not your fault Monika you did your best don't beat yourself up over this" you said relaxing her "Thanks y/n you are so nice I just wish I could have done something" she said wiping the rest of the tears away off her cheeks. You look around to see Emmanuel isn't currently in the room "uhh... Whe-" "she went to go get breakfast" Monika answering you quickly. You looked down and saw that your I. V. Wasn't in your arm anymore and the machines you were hooked up to were gone "Am I able to leave today Monika?" You asked "yeah they took you off of everything while you were sleeping" she said smiling. You got up off the bed and went to the closet and got a change of clothes and was starting to undress then notice that Monika is staring right at you making you a bit uncomfortable. "Um... Do you mind" you asked "not at all~" she responded in a seductive voice you rolled your eyes and walked into the bathroom instead and changed. You returned from the bathroom and Monika was standing by the door "You want to go meet Emmanuel at the cafeteria?" She asked pointing toward the door you nodded and followed her out. While you were walking you noticed Glaz walking out of his room he went wide eyed seeing that you were fine and walking he gave you a nod and a wink. You wondered what he was winking about and noticed Monika was wrapped around your arm you just brushed it off and made your way to the cafeteria. "I'm going to get some food for us so if you want you can go find Emmanuel" she said while walking to the TV menu you looked around to find Emmanuel but had no luck you walked around for a bit while stopping and talking to other operators about your previous mission and their missions. After a while you met back up with Monika who saved a table for both of you "any luck" she asked "nope" you responded you sighed and rested your head on your hand. "Maybe you should check her room she is in room 96" she said pointing down a hallway "thanks Monika" you said taking both Emmanuel and your food with you. "Well I wonder if she will be happy to see me" you wondered to yourself and proceeded down the hall to room 96.
