Chapter 9: Confessions

You looked at the numbers on every door as you walk further and further down the hallway. You eventually reach room 96 and take a deep breath after knocking and waiting a few moments the door slowly opens revealing a tired Emmanuel. She rubbed her eyes and spoke "What is it" she said rudely still rubbing "hmph guess you don't want your food then with that attitude" you replied turning the plate away from her she went wide eyed noticing your voice and hugged you immediately. "I missed you so much y/n I thought you were gone" she said tearing up and hugging you tighter "I missed you too I just didn't expect you to be so worried about me so much" you said giving her your best smile "you're a idiot if you think I wouldn't care those three weeks were so torturing not knowing if you were coming back or not" she replied grabbing your hand and leading you back into her room. You grabbed a nearby table and pulled it over to her couch placing both of your plates on it after you glanced at Emmanuel to see she was drooling a little at how good the food looked she suddenly came back to her senses when you snapped your fingers in front of her face "ehh... Sorry I just haven't eaten as much as I should have I wasn't really hungry since the mission" she said tilting her head down. You couldn't help but feel bad for her so you tried to comfort her by wrapping your arm around her she let out a deep breath and looked up at you "y/n I need to tell you something but it is really hard for me to say" she said looking away "It's okay just take your time I'm here for you" you reassured her she sighed a placed her head on your chest and continued to speak "since you were in training I kinda had a crush on you but didn't know how to tell you since you were always surrounded by other recruits" she said letting out a sigh afterwards and continued "I figured I would find someway to tell you later but since we got put in the same squad I just thought this would be the perfect time so...uhh yeah" she said scooting closer to you. You were surprised with what she said and thought for a second "well this is unexpected she is cute though and she is a very nice person I gotta take this opportunity" you said to yourself "so y/n what do you thi-" you cut Emmanuel off by planting a kiss on her lips they felt nice and soft making it all the better.  You were gonna pull away until she wrapped her arms around your shoulders pulling you closer to her both of your tongues fought for dominance with you winning and exploring the inside of her mouth, the two of you kept going for a few more moments until you both pulled away for air "I love you too" you said letting her go and turning to eat your breakfast,  she turned and did the same while smiling. You can tell you made her happy with what you did and that made you feel alot better.
