Love of Polarity
Everything in life has its opposite.
Something polar.
Light had darkness,
Pain had pleasure,
Happiness had sadness,
I had you.

You made me complete.
Filled my cup of absence to the very top.
Gave me a taste of all the wonders that your mind could hold,
And lured me into your endless loop that wouldn't stop.
Caressed me with a touch that would light a thousand suns.
Looked so trustworthy that I told you all
The secrets that I kept inside me,
But I wasn't ready for the fall.

Our love was like atoms,
Filled with protons,
Surrounded by unstable electrons.
The negative charge,
And the positive.
The law that ruled,
And the fugitive.
We had an attraction,
Electricity ran through our veins.
Nothing one sided,
Hand in hand attached by all the chains.
All was love,
Nothing ilicit,
Endless talks,
Countered by the moon's nightly visits.

We were compatible.
At least that's what I thought .
Until an uttered syllable,
Broke the bond.

That day it all went down,
And I couldn't help,
The happiness that wondered,
Why sadness was still here.
You filled me with kisses,
Yet you tore me to tears.
And Because of all the love you gave,
Even in fear,
I still forgave.
But you decided to destroy,
My never ending joy,
Denying us the love,
You Said forget all of the above.
Until we went back to being
Just a proton...
Just an electron...
