There was a girl who believed in butterflies.
She believed good was found in this world.
That all unraveled stories,
Had a happy ending. That girl was so young,
She was innocent and hopeful.
Aspired love and blissful songs,
That sang melodies to humanity. That girl grew older every day,
And soon found out that she was wrong,
To think this world wouldn't leave her a stray.
Without a home, without a life, without love. One day she opened her eyes,
And she saw a cruel world.
Where people cuss instead of smile,
Where people drink instead of heal.Where people's killings are justified,
Where people viciously seek power with pride,
Where some people give anything for a cent,
Where some people starve to death with such lament.Where people destroy each other's hearts.
She saw how light can be so dark.
