I felt like banging my head against the wall

I felt like banging my head against the wall. I just didn't understand what was his problem. Over the past few months he had been trying to talk to me, but I didn't want to. I could feel the sweat on my palms. I wiped my palms on my light blue jeans and started backing away.

I lifted my left hand and brushed the tip of my nose with my pointer finger. Allison was right, I had a tendency to do that when I was nervous.

Without a word, I turned around and crashed right into someone. The folder in my hand slipped and all my assignments were scattered on the ground. Now I was really annoyed.

Of course these things have to happen to me.

I gathered all my papers and stuffed them into a bag and grabbed a few more from the person who I crashed into. I shot an irritated look at the boy and stalked off. I just wanted to get away from there. At least the idiot had the courtesy to help me. I almost felt guilty at the moment for behaving like that.

Almost.

I stared at the gooey, melted milk chocolate in a mini bowl in front of me

I stared at the gooey, melted milk chocolate in a mini bowl in front of me. Someone snapped their fingers right in my face and I looked up with a jerk. Kyla has an annoyed look on her face.

"Earth to Miss Daydream! Earth to Cam!"

I sighed and looked at Allison. She narrowed her eyes at me.

Oh this woman definitely knows something is up.

"Know-it-all." I scowled at her.

"Oh spit it out babe." Kyla said.

After 'spitting' out what happened, I leaned back in my seat and let out a frustrated sigh. I now felt guilty for backing away like a coward and then my rude behaviour with whoever I crashed into.

"Seems to me like someone was too much of a chicken to confront the piece of shit." Kyla said.

"Cam. This has to stop. You avoid him like the plague. Just because this happened when you were not mature enough to make proper decisions doesn't mean you can't fix it now." Allison said.
