SHINE
It's been a month since daija had her accident, nothing suspect was going on , I still haven't heard from Alicia , since Shawn's death , and haven't heard from stephani either. It felt like everything was dying down but I still wasn't letting daija go home until I found Shawn's body. Daija was almost 9 months, time was flying so fast.i was just pulling into my garage in Tallahassee. I missed my baby girl , i just had to see her.
She must have seen my truck because she came running out to meet me. She was big and beautiful , pregnancy definitely did her well.
"Shine !"
I can't lie being called shine by her didn't fit well with me, she hasn't called me that since we first met or when she gets mad at me.
But I understood we had to take things slow in order to move on. .
She gave me the biggest hug.
"I miss you "
"I miss you to babygirl"
"C'mon fatcake "
I Pat her on the butt and walked her inside.
"Baby you won't believe who's here !!"
I didn't really fuck with her friends like that but I could be social if it makes her happy.
I walked in and soon as I turned my head.
"Malcom"
A elder brown skin lady dressed fancy was sitting on the couch.
It was my mother and from what I been through and how she let me and Alicia walk into the streets in the middle of the night ... She didn't deserve to be called a mother.
"Mary"
I grabbed daija hand and took her into the kitchen.
"What she doing here !"
"Idk , she came this morning looking for you"
I never told daija what happened between me and my mother I only told her we wasn't speaking. And she knew something was wrong she could see it in my face.
"What's wrong ?"
"Nothing "
I poured a glass of water and sat down at the table I didn't want to look at my mother so I avoided going into the living room while her a daija talked in the living room.
After an hour passed she entered the kitchen.
"Malcom?"
"Why are you here ?"
"To see you"
Pops and stephani running aorund then all of a sudden she's here to. Damn what next Shawn's body gone show up in the damn bathtub or something .
"From the looks of it you don't need to be worried about me "
Daija could hear my voice rising so she came into the kitchen.
"Baby calm down " she came and stood next to me rubbing my back, and whisperd in my ear, trying to keep me calm.
I could feel her shaking she hated seeing me upset because it always ended up with me killing someone .
"Shine, look I know your upset "
"Upset?"
I slammed my glass of water down breaking it.
"Upset? ... That isn't the fucking word to describe how I feel looking at you !"
"Wait a damn minute I'm still your damn mother your gonna respect me"
"Fran , was a better mother and she didn't have any more then what you did "
Daija held her belly shaking in pain.
I walked over to her and held on to her.
"You upsetting her , you need to leave !"
"She's far along you might need to take her to the hospital "
"You should be the last person to be giving advice about a child !" I said walking over to her. Looking face to face with my mom burned my body my hot rocks , I couldn't stand the looks of this lady. She could barely afford for me to get a haircut back then now she standing heere in diamonds trying to tell me how to deal with my fiance and our child .
"Shine !" Daija said hanging on the counter.
She had on shorts and I could see her soaking from underneath
"Her water just broke.. "my mother said backing away.
