SHINE
Ambulance and police sirens screamed through the city. People and their families was covering and checking their children, officers and the paramedics. Flooded the sidewalk checking on everyone.
There was blood but it wasn't alot and I didn't see where it was coming from.
"Is everyone okay "
She started shaking uncontrollably struggling to breath, her face started to turn red.
" I need help ! " I yelled holding her close
"You gone be okay baby,calm down. "
The paramedics came over and immediately took her to the truck.
I hopd in the back of my truck and let Mario drive us to the hospital.
" I SWEAR FOR FUCKIN GOD IF I LOSE MY BABYGIRL , THAT NIGGA IS DEAD ! YALL BETTER FIND THAT NIGGA ..FIND HIM AND HIM AND THAT BITCH !" Mario hit the brakes to let Johnny out so he can do what was asked.
We finally arrived to the hospital and soon as I seen daija getting took inside on a stretcher I ran after them.
"Daija I'm here" ,
she had a mask covering face helping her breath.
Soona as we got to a room a nurse and officer blocked the door.
"Sir I need you to wait out here "
Pissed off i pushed passed them until 4 more officer's came in trying to hold me down.
"It's okay son she gonna be okay I promise " a older black sherrif stood in front of me as they held me down. My heart got heavy watching them shut the door.
I could feel tears swelling up in my eyes but I manned up and held them back

" What the fuck is taking y'all so long !"
" Sir please remain seated someone will be right with you. "
I placed the hallway back and forth until a nurse stepped out the room.
" Hello , I'm andy-"
" Ion care bout nun of that shit where's my girl "
"Sir , she's okay ... She wasn't hit the blood was coming from the concrete she scratched up her back pretty bad , a couple stitches shes fine. "
" What happend "
"She went into shock , a really bad asmtha attack , but she's stable now. If you want we can keep her - "
" No ... I'll take her home "
" You sure "

I couldn't risk something happening to her for all I know that nigga. Could come back to finish the job. Other then that I felt a breath of fresh air hearing that news.
Walking into the room I rushed to her and kissed her face. She turned her head moaning in pain , facing me and smiled .
" Shine "
I gave her a smile back rubbing her hands kissing her fingers.
"I thought I lost you "
I can't believe in a blink of a eye I almost lost her, this ment war.
" You guys wanna write a statement about the incident , any insights on who that might've been.
" No "
" You sure "
Rubbing her stomach , I felt a fire light up inside of me , and daija could tell because she rubbed my hands with a worried look on her face
Grabbing her clothes I started taking off the wires they had attached to her.
" Sir you can't do that "
I tossed her clothes to Mario and picked her up
" What are doing "
"Taking you home "
She didn't say anything instead rested her head on my shoulder hanging on. That nigga owed me his life , and so did alicia .
A gun cocking back ringed through my ears , the nurses all ducked for cover. I turned around with daija still in my hands to see Alicia standing there with a gun in her hand pointing it at us.
" Brother ..." Her eyes were blood shot red , I could tell she'd been crying but she had new tears falling now.
" I'm sorry ... I have to do this "
I handed daija to mario.
" Take her home"
"No ,I'm not leaving you !"
"Daija ..." I gave her a look so she knew I was serious and it worked because she didn't say anything as he carried her out through the back door.
" He told me he'll kill me if I don't kill you ..."
"Is that right " I said taking steps towards her .
" Shine please ... I have to do this, he has Bella my baby needs me !."
Pulling out my pistol I pointed it at her.
" I felt like it was yesterday my ribs got bruised covering you and mommies body from dads punches and now you cross me for a nigga who gone do the same shit ...You actually think imma let you kill me "
Still crying we both stood there on opposite sides of the hallway pointing our pieces at each other... Funny thing is I never leave the house without a bullet proof vest. .
" Let's finish this " I said cocking back my gun.
