Leah's POV
I stand up off of the couch when Jennifer walks into the room, her mother not far behind her. She gives me a closed smile and comes to me, pulling her hand down my face and to my chin.
Say something, Jennifer!
I look past her, to her mother. Her mom isn't giving me the death stare anymore, which seems like a good sign. "Leah, I think owe you an apology." Jen's mom says. Woah... unexpected.
"Jennifer pointed out to me that my words earlier this evening may have hurt you and made you feel small or unwelcome, but that isn't the case. I have my opinions and uncertainties about the relationship you have with my daughter, but those are for me to worry about, not the two of you. As long as Jennifer is happy and participating in legal activities, I don't have any reason to object to your relationship." Her mother says. I smile a little and nod my head while expending my hand to her, "thank you, Mrs. Lopez." "How you two will choose to explain this to Jennifer's father is none of my business, but I will forewarn you that he is not going to be thrilled." She continues.
"Does he know I was arrested?" Jennifer asks me. "He does." "Great. I am surprised I haven't already gotten an earful from him about it." Jennifer says, rolling her eyes. I lick my lips and look at her, wondering if we should discuss the relationship I have with Jennifer's father.
Jennifer sighs and pushes her hand back through her hair. "Mom, there is one more thing you need to know." Jennifer says, gripping my hand tightly. "Which is?" "I met Leah at once of dad's classes. He was her professor at the time." Jen explains. Her mother shakes her head, "really, Jennifer?" "It was my fault. I pursued her." I admit. Jennifer looks at me and laughs a little, "stupid."
"Whatever. You two can figure out those issues later. We have dinner to eat and other things to talk about." Her mom says, walking past us quickly.
I smirk at Jennifer and she kisses me. "Don't grin at me like that." "I do what I want." I tease, wrapping my arms around her shoulders. Jennifer raises her eyebrows and bites her lip, "do you now?" "Mhm." I grin and kiss her lips slowly. She goes to pull away from me, but I don't let her. I kiss her again slowly and bite her lower lip, "I'm ready now." I whisper. Jennifer widens her eyes and slides her hand to my ass, looking at me like I am crazy for saying that here and now. I grin and kiss her again and she holds my body tight.
We are interrupted when her sister comes and stands behind Jennifer, reaching around both of us and grabbing my ass. "I feel like you two have really hot, dirty sex. Don't get me wrong, Antonio is great... but it's got to be hot to screw someone twelve years younger." Dani teases. I laugh, but Jennifer gets a little flustered, throwing her shoulders back to get her off.
"Dani, go somewhere." "Relax, brat." Dani says. Jen rolls her eyes and looks at me, annoyed.
Whoops. I turned her on and now she has to suffer through dinner. Maybe it was an accident, or maybe I planned it that way... the world may never know.
-
Jennifer parks her car and I look at her from the passenger seat with a big, childish grin. "What's with the face, Leah?" She groans. I giggle and she sighs and looks up, "don't tell me you changed your mind. Baby, I can't-" "Jennifer." I say and she stops speaking. "Leah, I am serious." She groans, still not looking at me. "I'm serious too." I say, my voice soft and low. Jennifer looks at me quickly and I bite my lip and drag my fingertips down her arm. I grab her hand and bring it to my lips, kissing her skin delicately. "I love you..." I whisper. She shakes her head and licks her lips, "Leah, I love you too... but I am about to tie you to the bed and fuck you until tomorrow morning. So please, get out." She demands, getting out of the car. I giggle and shake my head, "Yes ma'am."
The Next Week
Day three of coming home from work and Jennifer not being here. Ugh, this sucks. Adulting sucks.
Working with Dani has been good so far. She is teaching me a lot and I actually enjoy it... it as definitely interesting. I am literally diving into the lives of people and finding some of their dark secrets.... and it get paid to do it. It is fantastic.
Another plus of my job is that it is with Dani. Dani and I are getting closer and closer, which makes me feel so much better about the whole Jennifer- family situation. Her mom backed off and said that she'd try to give things a go, but I wasn't convinced. Jennifer didn't seem to care all that much though, which was also annoying. I hate that she doesn't care so much about little things like that. It makes me feel like I care too much.
I walk into the bedroom and sigh as I get undressed. As I pull my shirt down Jennifer comes into the apartment and hear her laughing at something.
"Baby?" She calls out. "Bedroom." I say, not too enthused. I am tired and hungry... which makes me grumpy. It isn't a good combo.
Jennifer walks in and smiles, "hi baby. Work okay?" she asks, kissing my cheek quickly. As she pulls back I catch a whiff of perfume. It isn't her usual, but it sure is strong. "It was fine. What are you wearing?" I ask, grabbing her shirt collar and pulling her to me to smell it again. "Trying something new." She says and pulls her shirt off. "I'm gonna shower, we can make dinner after." She says, going into the bathroom. I nod my head and watch her close the door.
My relationship with Jennifer is something else. We love each other more than anything, and it is very obvious... but we still haven't gotten back to 100% and it sucks.
