Leah's POV

We walk into the big, beautiful white building and I look around nervously. I cling to Jennifer's hand and she smiles that infectious smile at everyone, saying hello and being social. I keep quiet and let her do the talking for the most part. I'm definitely a "speak when spoken to" type of person at these events.

After wandering around the building for several minutes, Jennifer walks us over to a small gathering of people. She releases my hand, hugging each person tightly. I think nothing of it until I realize the last person she hugs is Audriana. She's dressed in a pretty off-white dress and heels. Her hair and make up look professionally done, and she gives me the nastiest look ever.

Rather than cowering down, I think back to the conversation Jennifer and I had. I clear my throat and step up to my girlfriend, interweaving my arm with hers. She glances back at me and smiles, "oh- everyone this is Leah. Leah, meet all of my crazy high school friends." Jennifer says, taking me around the circle and rattling off their names. I smile and make nice with everyone like a normal person would. When we reach Audriana the smile I am wearing fades.

"Audriana." I say, emotionless. "Leah, nice to see you." She says, smirking. She has an evil, backstabbing smile. "Okay... Leah, let's go get seats, babe." Jennifer says, grabbing my hand and pulling me away. We take our seats on the bride's side of the venue and the ceremony begins. I've never been much of a wedding person. I don't see myself having anything like this... it's too over the top for me.

Halfway through the ceremony I feel someone looking at me. Despite my best efforts to ignore the feeling, I can't. I glance around and notice Audriana's eyes locked on me. She raises her brows a bit and licks her lips slowly. I leave my face expressionless and grab for Jen's hand. I hate this feeling.

After a rather long ceremony, we make it inside to the reception. Jennifer's friends are very much party-people, so there is enough alcohol here to keep everyone drunk for days. I manage to sneak a mixed drink from the bartender in the craziness without being noticed. I go back and find Jennifer dancing like a fool, on her fourth drink for the night. She's having a great time, and I'm glad for that... but I'm worried she is going to be super hungover.

Jen spots me when she raises her head and she points at me. I raise my eyebrows and she grabs my wrist and pulls me to her, desperately trying to make me dance. I giggle and hold my drink tight in hopes it won't spill and she keeps laughing and moving her hips. I love this girl. The stupid little things she does make my heart happy.

I shake my head and she sticks her tongue out and keeps dancing, knowing she is making me laugh. Out of no where, a pair of hands come around her waist and slide down her thighs, pulling her tight. I look up and see Audriana dancing on Jennifer, and it makes my blood boil.

Jen keeps dancing, totally unaware of who she is dancing with. I shake my head and wipe my smile away entirely. Jennifer glances back and realizes the issue. "Audriana..." she gripes, stopping her actions immediately. Jennifer knows how I feel about it. "Stop. Have some respect." Jennifer mutters. She steps over to me and kisses my lips quickly, "you don't want dance with me?" She asks. I shake my head no and she nods, "you okay?" "I'm fine." I say and smile a little. She nods and steps out of the madness of the dance floor and walks with me to a table.

"Are you having a miserable time?" She asks me. "No... I'm not. I just- I'm shy." I say and she rolls her eyes, "my friends are nice. I promise no one is judging you." "It's fine, babe. I'm just glad you're having a good time." I tell her. She winks and stands up, clearing her throat. "I'm gonna go to the restroom, and try to find a water. Sit tight." She says. I nod and watch my beautiful girlfriend walk away from me.
