NEYMAR'S POV:

"Yeah, she's asleep in her room." I said into the phone. I was on the phone with my Dad, telling him what happened.

"And you're sure she's alright staying with you?" He asked. "She can always come live with me,"

"No, she's fine. This was just an accident." I explained. "Something like this will never happen again, I promise."

"Ok," He replied. "I trust you, Júnior."

"Thank you." I told him.

I hung up the phone and started to walk back inside to Kelly's room.

"Neymar!" I heard a voice shout from behind me. I turned to see Messi jogging towards me.

"Hey!" I said. "Thank you."

"I'm glad you called, is she ok?" He asked.

"Yeah she'll be fine." I told him.

"Remember, this wasn't your fault Neymar." He assured me.

"I know, but I can't help but feel guilty," I started.

"Trust me, if there were anything to feel guilty about I would tell you. I'm sure Kelly knows this was a freak accident. Could've happened to anyone."

"I just want her to be safe. She's my little sister, I worry about her." I told him.

"I know! And I think she does too. You have nothing to worry about." He told me.

"Let's go inside," I gestured inside and we both walked in and made our way to Kelly's room.

I popped my head through the doorway to see Kelly, awake. She was watching TV, but I couldn't see what.

"Hey!" I announced, entering the room.

"Oh, hey!" She smiled at me.

"What are you watching?" I asked, sitting down in the chair at her bedside, kicking my feet up on to her bed.

"News report." She replied.

"On what?" I asked.

"Me," She sighed, pointing at the television.

"Oh please," I grabbed the remote and shut it off just as they were about to show the video of her attack.

"Hey! I was watching that!" She shouted at me.

"You don't want to watch that." I told her. "Somebody is here to see you!"

I nodded at the door and Messi walked in, smiling.

"Hey, champ!" He smiled giving her a high five.

"Hi," She smiled.

"So, you took a pretty nasty hit, huh?" He asked, pointing to her leg.

"Yup. Just call me G.I. Jane." She joked.

They engaged in a conversation about what happened, and I couldn't help but smile. I was glad they were getting along so well.

"Well, I have to run but maybe I'll come back soon and visit you again, alright kid?" He asked.

"Yup sounds good!" She smiled as he walked out of the room.

"Do you feel any better?" I asked her.

"A little bit. Not a lot though," She sighed. "Why did this happen to me?"

"If I knew, I would tell you. But don't worry, I'm going to take care of you and nothing like this will ever happen again, I promise." I said, still feeling guilty.

I let go of her hand. I let her hand slip right out of mine and that's how she got caught in the crowd. That's how she got attacked. It was my fault.

"Hey," She said, looking at me. "Do you still feel bad??" She asked.

"Yes," I started to speak but she cut me off.

"Stop feeling bad. Seriously. There was nothing you could've done..." I explained.

I knew she was right, but I couldn't help but feel guilty. She's my little sister I promised I would protect her and I didn't.

"Ok," I said, smiling to make it seem as if I still didn't feel bad.

"There we go. That's a real smile, not a boring, forced one." She chuckled.

It was almost 10:30 when Kelly told me she was going to sleep.

"Yeah, that's a good idea." I said. I waited for her to get settled, then I grabbed a blanket from the closet and sat in the chair. I had no where else to sleep, so this should be good enough.

"Neymar?" She said softly through the darkness.

"Yes?" I whispered back.

"Thank you. For everything you've done for me since I've been here." She said. I smiled.

"You're welcome, sis."
