We Are Human Too

Part 8: Sky's POV

As soon as I suggested twister everyone's faces paled. Quinn just laughed with me considering she helped me decide the game we played.

Kai looked defeated but agreed nonetheless. Cole just shook his head in disbelief and sat on the couch in front of where we already had the game set up. Miah looked betrayed that I didn't tell her my plan but agreed anyway.

After drawing names, the first round was Cole and Miah.

The rest of us sat on beanbags and couches facing the game board so we could see if someone was cheating.

Miah and Cole stood on opposite sides of the mat and awaited the first directions. After awhile of laughing and awkward positions Cole was the one to fall first with Miah right after.

The next round was Quinn and myself. Towards the end of the game, right before I fell, I was directly over Quinn. She was blushing like mad for the point five seconds we were there before I fell on top of her. Once we were on the ground her face grew darker of that was even possible.

That would be an awkward situation to be in if I weren't aromantic so I don't blame the girl. Besides, she's only 14 she's got her whole life ahead of her for awkward situations.

A couple rounds came and went until we reached the one pairing I played this game for. Kai and Cole.

They took they're positions at opposite ends of the mat as I spun the spinner. It was all going smoothly with little sarcastic remarks thrown at each other here and there. Kai ended up having to go into positions that didn't even seem possible to me, but he managed. Damn that guy is flexible. Poor Cole burning up every time Kai went into a new pose that would make him look like he'd snap. That was, up until they were completely entangled with each other, their noses practically touching. Kai and Cole were both blushing mad and avoiding the others gaze. It didn't take long after that for the both of them to fall at the same time.

The rest of that night was spent laughing at each others struggles and attempting random dares. At one point in the night Kai and Cole were having a popcorn catch-off. A game they created to see who could catch the most popcorn in their mouths. Kai won, though I noticed he cheated by touching Cole's hand a few times. Gotta love disaster gays™️

——Timeskip about a week————

Today was Kai's birthday, but guess who didn't tell us til yesterday. Yeah he claimed that he hated his birthday. So to celebrate, we did something he's always wanted to do, we went to a tattoo parlor.
He couldn't contain his excitement as we walked into the building and up to the counter.

Kai's POV

I was so nervous and excited as Sky talked to the person at the counter. They were gonna take me, and another worker would take Sky. After we were done, those two workers would take Cole and Miah. Quinn couldn't come with us today since she was hanging out with a friend from her support group but she told us to have fun.

The process of drawing the tattoo out and picking the piercing place flew by and suddenly I was in the chair getting a lip ring. That hurt like hell, but looking over at Cole who was smiling the whole time made the pain melt away. While I was in this daze of staring at Cole, I hadn't realized that my tattoo had been finished as well. I looked down and smiled at the semicolon that was now on the inside of my left wrist.

I thanked the artist and stood up so Cole could take my place. His went by fast, considering he was only getting a simple key design on his right forearm. He didn't need anything extravagant considering he'd already pierced one ear prior to me meeting him. Damn why did everything he did to himself have to be so hot. Wait, that sounded wrong, ughhhhh. I meant like tattoo or piercing wise dirty minded people.

After we were both done, we smiled at each other and walked over to the room Miah and Sky were in. There was dried tears on Sky's face as she looked at her finished heart tattoo on her inner right wrist. Miah was just wincing as she touched her ears which both had several new piercings on them.

After a brief moment of showing off their new piercings and tattoos, we went back to the counter and paid for the work done. When that was all done we all headed back to our room in the center to watch BuzzFeed unsolved together.

Cole, Miah and I were on the couch with me in the middle and Cole on my left and Miah on my right. Sky was sitting in between Miah's legs on the ground.

We all took turns guessing whether or not something was actually gonna happen during that episode. We all ended up falling asleep in those spots while watching the last episode of the supernatural segment.

————Timeskip another week———-

It was finally Miah and I'd last day as juniors at school and we couldn't be happier. The day seemed to fly by, cause before I knew it the final bell had rang and me and Miah were running out of the school hand in hand, laughing our asses off as we imagined pride just a few days away.

We walked into our room smiling brightly as we told stories about our final day to Quinn, Cole and Sky. After that was out of the way, Cole announced that he and Quinn were officially moving to our school next year. Sky added in that she was transferring there as well.

As soon as all of that commotion was out of the way, I announced my big thing.

"Ok, ok. So you know how my mom put me on testosterone a few weeks ago? Welllllll......GUESS WHO QUALIFIED FOR TOO SURGERY SHORTLY AFTER PRIDE!" I shouted practically bouncing out of my own skin. Everyone else in the room had wide grins and some of them *cough* Miah and Cole*cough* even had tears in their eyes as the walked over to hug me tightly.

After awhile of talking about random nonsense, we decided to coordinate outfits for their trip to pride in a few days. This was gonna be fun.

A/N- 1093 words. Ok so I know this chapter is REALLY late but I just couldn't bring myself to write. Also missed pride month whoops but they're still going to pride so it's still June in the story. Anyways I'll try to have the next chapter out sooner than this one was.
