Third person POV

Doc sat in the infirmary, putting a new bandage around Boss's head. After he was finished, Boss started to stir. His eyes fluttered open and Doc rushed to his side.

"You're awake."

"What happened?"

"What do you remember?" Doc asked.

"I was in Medici, on a mission. Wait, how long has it been?" Boss scratched his graying beard, which had grown a little longer.

"You were attacked by an unknown person, they shot you three times in the chest and hit your head with something blunt. You're back at Hereford," Doc stood up and walked to his desk. "Also, Six wants to see you. You should be able to walk."

Boss POV

"This was not a random attack. Someone specifically targeted you. After you were moved, we found three .45 shell casings and a bloody pipe. The prints on the pipe matched one Sabrina Wilcox." Six stood in front of me and watched my face turn to surprise.

"You know her?" I nodded.

I went on to tell Six the full story.

My eyes opened. I was lying on the ground, dust all around me. I staggered to my feet and looked around, taking in the dead bodies that littered the area. My mind became numb at that point as I stumbled over to where my parents were. All if found was an arm sticking out of rubble, and my girlfriend's body lying twenty feet away. I remembered she was going to meet me that day. I collapsed to my knees and started sobbing.

"So this Sabrina is your ex girlfriend?"

"I thought she was dead. She was from America, and she had been able to visit me that day." I rubbed my eyes, tiredness overtaking me.

"You can head back to your dorm. If I recall correctly, some of the Russians left vodka imported from Russia as a gift for you." Six smiled as I left.

Mira POV

I heard that Boss had woken up after being shot and bashed in the head with a pipe. I visited him once, as it was my duty as a fellow operator. Still, I wanted to visit him more. I felt this sort of strange feeling in my stomach when I was around him. It wasn't I had feelings for him, just I liked spending time with him. As if on cue, I heard drunken Russian yelling. I opened the door to my dorm and saw Boss yelling at Lion. Again.

"Get back here you chornyy trus!" Boss ran after Lion, who had something in his hands.

"I'd like to see you get me drunk and injured," Lion taunted. I looked toward Lion just to see a vodka bottle smack him in the face, breaking on contact. Lion dropped what he was holding, which seemed to be some sort of pendant. Boss walked over and grabbed the object ... and almost fainted at the same time. The man stumbled and I went over to hold him up. I wrapped my arm around him and he looked at me. Then he fainted for real. I was going to bring him to his room, but I don't know where it is. Great.

I dragged Boss to my room and more or less threw him onto my couch. I was not going to have him in my bed. His hands still clutched the small object, but unfortunately was able to get a peek of it. It was a picture of a young Boss with who seemed to be his parents in a small frame, like the kind for necklaces.

"You are heavy, puta." I muttered to myself. I threw him onto an awkward position and I sat down myself. All I have to do is wait for him to get up.

"Eh? Blin where am I?"

"My room, puta. You got piss drunk and I didn't know where your room is."

"Well, thanks anyway. I'll be going." He got up and walked out of my room, giving me some alone time. I had noticed his hair was getting more gray.

Boss POV

I went into my room, which had four crazy Russians in there. Kapkan was passed out on my couch, Fuze arm wrestled Glaz, and Tachanka swiftly put a bottle of vodka into my hands. My eyes widened. This was not just vodka. This was the vodka that has been aged and made with the spirit of Russia in it.

"Where did you get this?" I asked. Tachanka just looked at me.

"A friend of mine gave it to me when I was in the army."

"Wait, you were in the red army?"

"Da."

"Which group?"

"71st motor." Tachanka raised his loudly eyebrow at me.

"I was too comrade. What was your name again?" His time, Tachanka looked surprised.

"Aleksandr Senaviev."

I smiled broadly.

"My old friend do you remember me? Y/N Lucianov?" Alex laughed and slapped his hand on my shoulder.

"Haha! Of course!" Alex put a bottle in my hand and grabbed one for him.

I don't remember what else happened that night
