Third person POV

Dan "Ruby" Jackson put his hands over his eyes, a futile attempt to shut out his best friend Jordan "Thermite" Trace. He was currently rambling on how to make his World Breaker device even more powerful.

"I'm just saying. If we could get our hands on some napalm, then -"

"Where in the hell would we get napalm? I doubt Six is going to let you after last weeks demonstration." Dan put a little more emphasis on demonstration

"Ah come on! It was world breaking!"

"Yeah, that makes it all the more dangerous. We don't want another Tony incident."

"Heh, well. Tony was never the smartest." Jordan smiled, hiding his defeat. Back in the FBI, Dan and Jordan had worked together multiple times. Tony was another operative who had "accidentally" set off Jordan's experimental brimstone, resulting in an early retirement for Tony.

"Never the smartest? You left your brimstone on your bed, before you came up with the detonator system." Dan was about to throw himself off a cliff after dealing with Jordan for so long.

"Let's just head to the shop. Work up something there," Jordan suggested.

"Ugh, fine. I think Meghan needs her cameras recalibrated today."

Jordan, seeing his chance, looked at Dan and raised one eyebrow, smirking.

"Shut up." Dan flipped off Jordan before leaving the room, the Texan close behind.

Dan set the final Black Eye camera down on the table, having recalibrated all three. Dan rubbed his eyes and looked up to see the owner of the Black Eye cameras, Meghan "Valkyrie" Castelleno.

"Hey," Dan said. The tiredness was evident in his voice.

"Hey. Saw you recalibrated my cams. That's what I came here for."

"Yeah, I was just kind of bored. Glad to help."

"Thanks, I appreciate it. Anyways, how are you doing?" Meghan asked. She took a seat right across from Dan.

"Tired. You?" Dan yawned again and rubbed his eyes once more.

"Good. You look like you could use some sleep," Meghan pointed out.

"Yup. It's been a tiring day, especially with trying to get Jordan not to use napalm." Meghan giggled quietly and looked over the tired man.

"Welp, I'm really tired. I'm gonna head back to my room right now. It was good talking to you." Dan smiled and Meghan returned it.

"Likewise," Meghan's stated before Dan got up and walked out of the room. Dan pushed the door open and stepped out into the hallway. He looked to his right to see Blackbeard, or Craig. Dan took notice of one thing though, Craig's face didn't have his usual joking look on it. It was replaced by a dark glare staring right at Dan.

"Uhh, hey Craig. How ya doing?" Dan asked. He pushed a thought out of his head and forced a smile. Craig was a trusted soldier, but this glare was unsettling.

"Back off," was all Craig said in response.

"Woah dude, where is this shit coming from?" Dan took a step back, slightly raising his hands.

"Back off from Meghan." Craig took a step forward, almost putting himself right in the face of Dan.

"What? We're just friends, come on dude. You're better than this." Craig just glared at his response and cracked his knuckles.
