Monday was the day we settled on for pizza and Peter filling me in on what happened. It was supposed to be a fun thing we did. We decided to meet a 9. And as the time ticks and they get later and later. My nerves get on edge. "Your father is trying to contact you," Hiro says, "shall I put him through?"

"I guess," I shrug. He puts dad through. "Yeah?"

"Meet me at the ferry now!" Dad yells, "before I murder that spider kid."

"Alright alright," I say suiting up, "I'll be there in five." I hang up and dive from the window. Frantically pushing myself towards the ferry. As I get there I see the boat now spit in half. "No no no no Peter what have you done."

"Yeah Y/n is your headset on?" dad asks.

"Yep," I say, "we push it together. I can us as much force as I can gather. But I'll need a boost once I switch my air."

"Fine," he says. I stop forcing the air to hold me up and I feel two of his boots hit me. One of his collapsed suits. The rockets on them enough to keep me up in the air. I force all the surrounding air to the boot. Forcing the two sides together. Steadily it closes the gaping split, as I hold it a laser connects the two pieces together to reattach the ferry. Dad flies to me and then points off where Peter went. "Let's go," he orders. I nod and follow suit. As we land on the sign I kick off the boots as my dad hovers above Peter in his suit.

"Parker I swear," I hiss.

"No no me first," Dad says, "Previously on Peter Screws the Pooch...I tell you to stay away from this. Instead, you hacked a multimillion-dollar suit so you could sneak around behind my back...doing the one thing I told you not to do."

"ls everyone okay?" He asks softly.

"No thanks to you," Dad says.

"No thanks to me?" Peter snaps standing up and marching towards my dad and I, "Those weapons were out there, and I tried to tell you about it but you didn't listen. None of this would've happened if you had just listened to me! If you even cared, you'd actually be here." Dad opens the suit and steps out causing Peter to stumble back.

"I did listen, kid. Who do you think called the FBI, huh? Do you know I was the only one
who believed in you?" Dad asks, "Everyone else said I was crazy to recruit a 14-year-old kid."

"I'm 15," Peter corrects.

"No, this is where you zip it, all right?" Dad snaps raising his voice, "The adult is talking.
What if somebody had died tonight? Different story, right? Because that's on you. And if you died... I feel like that's on me. I don't need that on my conscience."

"Yes, sir. I'm sorry. I understand," Peter says.

"Sorry doesn't cut it," Dad says.

"I just wanted to be like you," Peter says desperately.

"And I wanted you to be better. It's not working out. I'm gonna need the suit back," Dad says.

"Dad-"

"The suit," Dad says louder.

"For how long?" Peter asks softly.

"Forever," Dad says. Peter's face falls. "Yeah, that's how it works."

"No, no. Please," Peter begs.

"Let's have it,"  dad says firmly.

"Please, this is all I have," Peter begs, "I'm nothing without this suit."

"If you're nothing without this suit, then you shouldn't have it. Okay?" Dad says, "God, I sound like my dad."

"I don't have any other clothes," Peter says.
