tears slowly formed in her eyes as she saw her bestfriend running towards her, hugging her tightly as soon as he reached her.
arim never thought that leaving him would cause her crying like a baby.
"i'm almost late," he said, his breathing was unstable because he ran.
tony noticed that arim started to cry in his hugs, telling him about how much she'll miss him. tony laughed at her, "don't cry stupid, it's not like we won't be in touch anymore."
"but i won't see you again," arim said between her tears.
ever since her parents told her that they'll move to korea because of her parents job, arim changed around tony. she no longer annoyed him, and it made him asked her if something was wrong. arim wanted to tell tony about her departure, but she didn't want to make him sad. so she decided to not telling him. but tony already noticed if something wasn't right with her. he went to ask her sister, hanmi, and he found our d-1 about their departure to korea.
tony was lucky enough that he was right on time to bid his last goodbye to her.
"why didn't you tell me?" tony asked, holding his tears.
"i don't want to make you sad."
"seriously? i'll be even more sad if you left me without me knowing," tony said. his hand reached out to cup her face, erasing the tears that won't stop coming from her eyes.
tony sighed, "you'll be just fine without me, right?"
arim shook her head. of course she won't. she basically grew up with him and he is the only friend that she have. she tighten her hands around tony, not wanting to leave her bestfriend.
an announcement of her departure was heard through the airport speakers. arim cried harder, as she looked straight into tony's eyes. she could see tears in his eyes, but he didn't let it out.
tony smiled to her, "you have to leave now."
arim freed her hands from tony. "i'm going to miss you. so much," she said, while tony just lets out a painful laugh.
tony waved his hand goodbye to his bestfriend. it hurts to see her walking away from him. but it's not like that he won't see her anymore, he still can contact her through social medias. arim waved her hand goodbye, before she walked heavily following her family to the airplane.
that day, she couldn't stop thinking about tony.

days, months, and years passed by.
arim grew up to a cheerful girl and she made a lot of friends in korea. she had a hard time learning korean, but with the help of her sister, she managed to master the korean language.
she kept in touch with tony for two years since she moved.
but after that, tony suddenly disappeared and didn't answer her texts or calls anymore. arim felt sad, but as time passed by, she had forgotten about it.
it has been three years since they lost contact with each other.
"arim!!" hanmi shouted from the living room, making the girl who was playing with her phone in her room running rushedly towards the living room.
"what happen?" she asked.
"my boyfriend said he joined produce x 101 and invited me to watch him on the stage next week!" hanmi screamed, her eyes won't get off from her phone.
"steven kim? he seriously joined that show? i thought he was joking around when he told you that," arim said as she sat right next to her sister.
"i know, right?! look! he invited both of us to come! let's go!" hanmi said, shoving her phone to arim.
arim sighed, "i don't think i'm coming. i'm not really interested."
"oh come on! you know that mom won't allow me if you're not coming," hanmi said, showing her little sister her puppy eyes, begging her to come with her.
as much as arim hates her sister's puppy eyes, she finally agreed in order to support steven. hanmi hugged her tightly, and immediately bought the tickets online to watch produce x 101. she couldn't wait to meet her boyfriend.

the lee sisters, arim and hanmi, were both queuing at the line waiting for their turn to enter the venue.
today is the stage day, and hanmi has been so excited since she woke up.
after waiting for about twenty minutes, they finally enter the venue. arim looked around, and there are a lot of people surrounding her holding a lot of supporting banners or whatever to support their favorite trainees. her sister also brought one for steven too.
she is the only that didn't bring any supporting banners to the venue.
she didn't even know about this whole produce x 101 thing in the first place. she only knew that if pdx 101 is a survival show for 101 trainees, and only 11 of them will debut, but the trainee she knew that joined this show is only steven, and that's because he is hanmi's boyfriend.
after everyone finally entered the venue, the show finally began with lee dongwook as the mc for the show. arim widen in surprise knowing that her favorite actor from her favorite k-drama is the mc of this show.
dongwook talks for about ten minutes before he finally lets the first performers to come to the stage and introduce themselves.
the first team is performing exo's mama, which is one of the song that's familiar in arim's ears because her friends are a huge fan of exo.
arim clapped her hand as an applause as the trainees started to show up on the stage.
and her eyes started to widen as she saw a familiar figure standing up on the stage with a huge smile. she went to ask her sister, but she already lost her somewhere in the sea of people here. she looked back at the stage, and she couldn't believe her eyes.
there is no way that it's him.
the trainees introduced themselves one by one, and when it comes to the last trainee to introduce himself, arim could feel her tears builidng in her eyes.
"hi national producers! my name is tony from hongyi entertainment, and i'm here to wreck this stage tonight, so please pick me!"
it is his voice.
even though arim is a little unfamiliar because tony never speak korean before, but she recognized him. even though her vision is a bit blurry because she forgot to wear her glasses, she knows that it's him.
it's the tony that used to be close to her that's standing on the stage and performing right now.
