"MALIA PLEASE, JUST MEET ME HERE" SIMON ASKED THROUGH THE PHONE.
"Fine Simon, but I swear to god if she's not there I'm gonna shove that phone so far up your arse-"she was cut off "thank you Malia" he said "your lucky were friends" she grumbled. Malia changed her direction and headed for the address Simon sent her, whilst also following his scent.
She reached a huge building, it was honestly beautiful and Malia wondered how she'd never seen it before. She saw Simon pacing outside and shouted "Simon!" he snapped his head in her direction "Malia! Thank god your here. I just called Clary and she told me she had to get dressed! What the hell is she doing?" he almost shouted "maybe she was having sex" Malia shrugged not caring about Simon's worry.
Malia knew Clary wasn't having sex because she would've been able to smell it. The doors of the church opened and Clary walked out with a blonde guy behind her. Malia discretely smelt the air and knew that this guy with Clary was something not entirely human. It was something similar to what she smelt with Clary a couple times, however, the scent was stronger now.
"So why can't Simon and Malia see you" Clary asked the blonde guy and Malia was slightly confused because she could see the guy, she was gonna call Clary out but decided against it as it might expose her. The blonde guy explained something about a glamour rune and how it made him invisible to mundanes. Mundanes? Malia asked herself. "It's a shame really, cause, well, denying them all this" the blonde guy smirked and Malia nearly scoffed.

AFTER THE BLONDE GUY INTRODUCED HIMSELF AS JACE, AND AS A SHADOWHUNTER, MALIA WAS WILDLY CONFLICTED ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT TO TELL CLARY ABOUT WHAT SHE REALLY WAS.
"So this cold blooded killer is gonna help us?" Simon questioned Clary and Malia felt her eyes glow slightly, remember what she had done in the past. "He's not a killer. He's protecting us" Clary clarified "specifically you two, it's kind of our thing" Jace said to the two. I'm perfectly capable of protecting myself, asshole.
"Your thing? You guys have a thing" Simon questioned and Malia rolled her eyes "he means a shadow hunter thing" Malia said with a scoff and Jace eyed her weirdly "yeah" Clary agreed "that's what they do, protect humans from demons" "demons, right, that makes perfect sense, cause there are demons running around new York" Simon ranted, I'm a werecoyote running around new York so I think that's easy enough to believe.
"That, is the first correct thing you've said all day" Jace said.

"WHY ARE THERE MUNDANES IN THE INSTITUTE?" A BOY WITH BLACK HAIR ASKED JACE.
"A circle member followed them to get to Clary" Jace sighed, Malia was getting pissed at the way he was speaking but didn't allow herself to get too angry as she didn't want to lose control. "A circle rune, just like the guys that took my mother" "what exactly a circle member and why are they trying to kill us?" Simon asked "all we know is, a long time ago the circle lead a revolt. A lot of shadow hunters got killed... including my father." Jace explained and Malia felt Clary rub her shoulder, knowing about the death of most of her family.
"And since the revolt we've been forbidden to even here about the circle" the guy who's name Malia found out to be Alec said. Clary took her hand from Malia shoulder and asked "how is that even possible? It's your history" Malia let out a snort at this "says the one who didn't know she was a shadow hunter" everyone looked at her and she gave strange look back "what?" "Well the only person who knows the truth is missing. So I don't care about your rules and what's forbidden, there's got to be someone out there who can tell us why they've taken my mother" Clary ranted.
Jace told Clary there was someone they could talk to about the circle and when Malia and Simon went to follow Jace held his hand out to stop them, "no, no, no, not you guys" Jace said "get your hand off of me" Malia said, almost growling, Jace complied and then pointed to the training room. "There are runes all over the training room floor, that would kill your Mundie friends" Jace said

MALIA SMELT BURNING WHILST SHE WAS WAITING FOR CLARY AND JACE TO RETURN.
She followed the scent, thinking that Clary was in trouble. "Clary! Are you-"Malia cut herself off seeing Jace holding up a man. Once again she discretely smelt the air and figured out the burning smell was coming from him. Not being the mundane everyone thought she was Malia stepped onto the training room floor.
Hodge regained his composure and continued talking. "We can't ask out to do this" Clary said "Clary, we don't have a choice" Jace said "you understand that Hodge, right?" Jace questioned "Jace" Hodge panted "is right. Valentine nearly destroyed the shadow world and humanity along with it. If he'd gotten the cup"- "wait a minute" Clary interrupted "my mother told me she hid something from someone. If it's this cup"- "Clary, the mortal cup is the most important object in the shadow world. Whoever possesses it can create more shadow hunters" Jace explained "and in the wrong hands, control demons" Hodge finished.
"if Jocelyn hid the cup from valentine, then she's in more danger than you could possibly imagine" Hodge yelps and Malia helps Jace lay Hodge down "I hate to make you suffer like this" Clary said, nearly in tears "I'm so sorry" Hodge told Clary.
"Stop valentine, before he destroys us all"
"Clary, slow down" Jace called after the two girls as they speed walked down the hall. Malia turned back to him, getting more pissed by the second "okay, Jace, you might be some kind of emotionless G.I. Joe, but"- "what is a G.I. Joe?" Jace cut her off "a soldier who doesn't understand human emotions, someone who doesn't understand what it's like to lose someone, to lose your own mother" Clary told him and then glanced at Malia.
"Your right, I never knew my mother" mine shot me and then I killed her, Malia refrained from saying. "I didn't know" Clary stammered and Malia turned her back on the two "that's precisely my point. You don't know anything about me, my life, but in the shadow world, no training and no plan, gets you killed" Jace explained and Clary turned herself to Malia who was trying to remain calm.
