"Better" Alec said "Magnus is doing what he can to help her, but it's bad and the cup is definitely missing" "so is Hodge" jace sighed "maybe he was attacked too" Izzy suggested "maybe he's the one that attacked her" malia suggested as she leant on the table, getting a closer look at the video
"Hodge? No way. We've known him our entire lives he would never do that to us" Izzy denied, the video then contradicted her statement completely by showing Hodge attacking Lydia and taking the cup "I lead him right to the cup" jace shook his head
"We treated him like family. How could he do this to us?" Alec asked no one in particular. Izzy then clicked onto another video of Hodge, he was standing over Jocelyn "that's how. What is that ring?" clary asked "looks like he's talking to someone" Izzy said "I can bet who it is" jace growled "valentine" malia sneered, she spoke his name as if it were poison on her tongue. "well that explains how he deactivated the punishment rune, but it doesn't explain where he got the ring" Alec said "you think someone smuggled it past the wards?" clary asked "maybe" jace said "Hodge wasn't the only ex-circle member around here" jace looked to Alec

"No, we killed that think, and I didn't see a ring" Alec denied "he didn't have one during the autopsy, but... maybe there's something in the footage" Izzy said as she pulled up the video of Hodge fighting the forsaken
"Go to the other camera" Alec said and Izzy complied "there" jace said and Izzy zoomed in on the picture "so it wasn't a random attack" clary said "he was just the delivery boy" malia sneered "if he gives that cup to valentine, he'll create an army of shadow hunters. With that kind of power behind him, he'll kill thousands" Alec said
"he'll kill thousands just creating the army" Izzy added "most mundane's won't survive that" "we won't let that happen" malia said Scott really rubbed off on me, malia thought "I'm gonna make sure of it" jace said before walking away
