From Neverland and Back: A Captain Swan Fanfiction

Chapter 5: First "Date"

Hook's POV:

I'm not sure if meeting in public was the best idea in the world but I do know for a fact that I like her. But I don't even know her first name! What the hell is wrong with me? I can't stop thinking about her, but I don't think she feels the same, maybe I'm wrong but I don't know.

At four o'clock I walk into the diner and everybody turns and looks. I casually wave back and smile,

"Can't a guy come into a diner and enjoy a meal without being stared at?" I scan the crowd and slowly everyone goes back to what they were doing. I finally see her blonde hair in the very back of Granny's and I slowly make my way over to her. She must of heard me coming because she looked back toward me. I flash her a smile and she returns the favor.

I sit down across from her in the booth and ask,

"Have you ordered yet?" 

She shakes her head no, "Um, I was waiting for you Captain,"

"Don't call me that," I say.

"What, Captain?" she asks.

"Yes, don't call me Captain,"

"Okay," she says, "Then what should I call you because this is probably going to be a regular thing, you and I,"

I was very happy to hear her say that so I decided to be upfront with her about my real name,

"I have and actual name besides Captain Hook, you know,"

"Oh do you now? Care to tell me?" she asks smiling.

"Not until you tell me your first name because I've only, up to this point referred to you as Miss Swan, or just Swan,"

"Okay then I thought you would have known, but first name is Emma," she says.

"That's a lovely name. And I hope you realize I haven't told hardly anyone my first name," I say.

"Well, out with it! Don't leave me hanging!" she laughs.

I grin too and say, "Okay well here it goes. My name is," I pause. 

"Come on!" she says giving me a light shove.

"Fine, it's Killian," I blurt closing my eyes and waiting for her reaction.

"Killian," she says, "I personally like that much better than Captain Hook. It has a nice ring to it, Killian,"

I sigh with relief, "Ready to order?" I ask.

Emma's POV: 

I nod. He calls over the waitress which happens to be Ruby and she looks at me then to him and then back to me, mouth hanging open.

"I know this looks weird to you Ruby, but it's not I promise, we are just working out a little plan to get back at Cora," I say looking over toward Killian for verification. He nods and chimes in,

"Yes you see, Ruby was it? Ah yes well you see Ruby I do not enjoy working for that witch so I've decided to come to the good side but remain a spy,"

Ruby looks at me to verify and I nod. She nods back and then begins to take our order. Once we get our food we talk and eat about really anything almost like an actual date. After we finish I pick up the tab even though he insists. We walk out of Granny's together laughing and talking. We get right out front of the diner and we head around the corner behind it like we have been the last two nights. 

He stares at me for a very long time but I don't mind because I do the same. Suddenly he is leaning toward me and before I can pull back our lips meet. I break the kiss almost immediately but only for a moment because I realize how right it feels and then I'm the one leaning in. Our lips meet again and we hold it there for a while.

He then cups my face with his hands and breaks the kiss. He flashes me his signature smile and says, "So based on what just occurred, I'm assuming we share the same feelings," I nod and smile. 

"I guess so," I say, "So now what? We just admitted our feelings for each other so what happens now?" I ask.

Killian shrugs and says, "I guess that requires me to ask this," he replies, "Emma Swan, would you like to be my girlfriend?"

"I would love to Killian," and as I finish I lean up and kiss him again. We break the kiss and he holds out his hand for me to hold. He walks me home and without anyone looking we kiss goodbye. He turns to leave and I turn to go inside with butterflies in my stomach and the best feeling in the world all mixed into one. I open the door and go inside. Ready to explain myself if need be. I walk into my apartment to see Neal standing by the window looking down at Killian.
