Killian's POV:

After my encounter with Neal, I definitely knew that I had to step it up a bit with Emma to ensure that we would stay together even though I didn't really doubt it. After polishing my hook, I began to get ready for Emma and I's second date. I put on my long grey leather trench coat and black boots. I basically looked the same just nicer than before. We agreed to meet at the restaurant at 6 and I arrive there at 5:55. Emma isn't there yet and so far neither is Neal. I brought a bouquet of red roses with a black ribbon tied around them. I put them in the middle of the table and I sit and wait.

I hear the door to the restaurant open at exactly six and turn around to see her. She looks gorgeous in a strapless green dress that comes to about her knees and black heels. I stand open mouthed like an idiot but I can't help it.

She walks up to me smiling and says,

"Close your mouth Captain you might start drooling," she giggles and places her palm underneath my chin and pushes my mouth closed. She then leans in and we kiss. I go around the other side of the table and pull her chair out for her. She sits and I push her in toward the table. She spots the bouquet and exclaims,

"Oh Killian! They're beautiful! You shouldn't have!" she then spots the black ribbon and asks what it means, I say,

"You see Miss Swan the red roses represent the love and beauty I see in you and the black ribbon represents the trail of darkness and evil that follows me everywhere," I finish.

She blushes and smiles, "I love them thank you so much Killian," she leans across the table to kiss me as a thank you. I gladly take it.

She then becomes serious and looks me dead in the eyes,

"Killian, Neal stopped by and saw us kissing he's super pissed but I really hope he gets over it. I just figured you should know,"

I then tell her, "I know. He followed me home and confronted me but I just remained calm and let him storm off on his own,"

Emma looked upset, "I'm so sorry about that. Next time I see him I will set him straight because, Killian, you're the one I want to be with,"

I smile and turn around to see Neal walking in, "Well," I say, "I guess you can set him straight now,"

She spots him and he spots her and begins to walk over toward our table and I see Emma tense up clearly not ready yet. I can't help but feel guilty for "inviting" him. Once he reaches our table I suddenly can't help but feel threatened but I shake the feeling off pretty easily.

Neal starts, "So you are actually going out?"

"Yes we are," Emma says, "And not to sound rude but you're interrupting,"

"But Emma we have a son," he says.

"Neal I realize that but me going out with Hook is not going to change our past. I'm always going to love you but right now, I have Hook and that's all I need. I hope you understand that,"

Emma's POV:

I think I made it through  to him that I'm with Killian and he can't change that. He nods and turns to leave but before he does he turns to Killian I tense up afraid for the punch but it doesn't come. Rather he says,

"You found a great one. Hold onto her with all you got. She's worth it," and with that he left.

I start tearing up but I quickly conceal it. The majority of the rest our date is in silence. But after we are done eating we start to talk again,
