Emma's POV:

During the ten minute drive to Regina's, Henry was filled in on the last month of Hook and I's romance. At first it was exactly like I had anticipated, shock and betrayal just like Snow, but as Killian went on Henry slowly accepted us. He was happy finding out that I had brought out the good in Killian. I blushed hearing that come from Killian. He was the best thing that had happened to me in a while. We pulled into Regina's drive as soon as Killian wrapped up his story, perfect timing.

I crawled out of the car and waited for the others to join me. Once everyone was out, I locked my bright yellow car and we started up toward the door. Killian walked next to me and Henry beside him with Snow to my left. Halfway up the drive, Henry gently pushed Killian toward me and we brushed shoulders.

"I'll admit lad, that was a smooth move," Killian said chuckling. He was so good with Henry it made me smile knowing that this was going to work just fine. When we reached Regina's door, Snow was the one who knocked. Regina opened the door about ten seconds later.

"Henry! It's so great to see you!" she said. Her reaction to us reflected nothing of the greeting she gave to my son. "Hello Emma, Snow, and Hook... what a surprise," she sarcastically snarled.

"Let's cut to the chase Regina, what I discussed with you earlier, yeah I meant it we need to put the plan into action now,"

"Why should I listen to someone like you? It is your fault that we are in the situation we are in. Someone couldn't hold their emotions in. See that is the difference between you and I, I can't love anyone ever, I thought the same of you but now," she gestured to me, "I'm a bit let down,"

"Regina please, it was a mistake," Snow piped up. "I'm sure he had no intention of blowing his cover. I know what it's like to blow something for love," Snow's eyes pleaded, "Please Regina, we need you now more than ever,"

Regina still did not seem convinced. Just when I thought we had lost all hope of her help, Henry spoke his mind,

"Mom, please I know there is good in you. You have proven it before. Please Mom, please. Help us, help me," Henry begged.

        Henry must have cracked her,

"Fine I will help but only for you, Henry. Everyone inside," Regina said briskly.

We all followed her in and she shut the door behind us. We walked into her parlor and each of us took a seat.

"I apologize," Regina started. "I haven't worked out all of the exact details yet, thanks to someone," she glanced over toward Killian and he lowered his eyes toward the ground. She started again,

"But I have worked out the majority of what is going to happen. I thought it would be best to surround her, corner her so she has no place to go. Then when she thinks we will show mercy, Emma, you and I will combine our magic and stop her in her tracks,"

"Wait, woah woah woah," I interrupted. "I can't always get my magic to work. What if I can't, then what?"

Killian moved his hand to my leg in comfort, "You won't. You will not fail. Your magic will work because I believe in you," he smiled his wicked smirk that always makes my heart skip a beat.

"You're right pirate. She will make her magic work or else all of us will die," Regina stated bluntly.  "Not to put any pressure on you or anything,"

"Thanks Regina, coming from you it means a lot. Henry if you want you can stay over at Regina's tonight as long as she's okay with it,"

        "Can I?" Henry asked excitedly.

"Of course Henry. You are always welcome here," Regina said.

We ended staying there all day discussing different ways to get my magic to function properly and battle tactics. Killian helped a lot with those. After we put Henry to bed Snow, Killian and I left Regina's place. When we went to drop Killian off Snow asked if I wanted to spend the night over at Killian's place. Killian was fine with it so I graciously agreed. Snow said that she wanted a night alone with David but I knew what was really on her mind. After she left, Killian and I went up to his apartment and crawled onto the couch  together. I borrowed the same shirt from the night before and we curled up and fell asleep. That night I had a dream that we were facing Cora and my greatest fear came true my magic didn't work and I watched all of the people I love die. First David, then Snow, then Henry, then Neil, then finally Killian. I cried out in agony for I couldn't save them.

Killian's POV:

I awoke with a start. It took a moment to remember where I was. I looked down at the beautiful creature laying beside me. She began to stir and she woke up with a jerk and turned toward me looking flustered and scared.

"Swan, what's wrong?" I asked concerned.

"I was facing Cora but my magic wouldn't work and I had to watch all of the people I love die, yours hurt probably most of all,"

I sat there staring at her, at this beautiful woman in front of me. She loves me I thought. I put my arm around her back and brought her in to a one armed hug. I caressed her golden locks to soothe the fear and kissed her head,

"I will never leave you, I promise" I whisper. She finally drifted back to sleep after five minutes or so of consoling. I soon followed too tired to even think about what Emma had just told me. She was afraid, afraid of losing me. I wouldn't let her be afraid. I'm glad a pirate is good at one thing and this happens to be that one thing, Saving Himself.
