"As you all know the games start tomarrow when the sun is at its highest place!" Mapleshade meowed.
"Skyclan, you are all to follow my warrior Snowturft." She growled to the skyclan cats. "Riverclan you follow Whiteshadow. Shadowclan follow Antpelt. Windclan, Froststorm and thunderclan, Thistleclaw!" Mapleshade hissed. Dovepaw leaped off her rock and followed Thistleclaw. She was walking beside lilykit. She was led to a place with caves. Some caves were high and some were low.
"Lilykit that cave." He told lilykit pointing to the lowest one.
"Toadstep." Thistleclaw assigned Toadsteps cave by flicking his tail towards it. His was the highest one.
"Leafpool go to the 3rd highest." He growled.
"Ivypool go to the 4th highest" Thistleclaw orderd Dovewings sister.
Dovewing over there by Lilykits but higher." He mocked in a smirk acting like she was a kit. Dovewing jumped in her cave and found a brown a tan tabby she-cat.
"Hello there Dovewing! I am Pinefeather your mentor. I will teach you to survive out there." She said in a friendly voice.
"O- ok." Dovewing stammered looking around. In her cave there was herbs in one corner, death berries on a shelf looking part of the cave wall and a pool.
"How are you from the dark forest? You seem so nice!" Dovewing asked
" Lets just say I did some bad things when I was younger!" Pinefeather snapped."Follow me" she meowed. As she padded away Divewing followed. Pinefeather went through a narrow tunnel Dovewing must have missed. It opened up to a large sandy hollow.
"This is the battle training spot." Pinefeather meowed. Dovefeather looked around. As she did Pinefeather leaped at her knocking her down. Dovewing pawed her tummy claws sheathed. Pinefeather put her paw softly on Dovewings neck. Dovewing went limp. Pinefeather didn't relax or push harder. Pinefeather was surprised as Dovewing came back alive and knocked her down. Dovewing batted her paws on Pinefeathers face.
"Ok. I've seen what I've needed too." Pinefeather panted. "Your good but you have to be more alert." Pinefeather pointed out.
"Let's move to the herbs and death berries.They moved back through the tunnel to the shelf and corner." These are death berries you know what will happen if you eat one. Study these herbs and tell me what you know about them."
