"Follow me in a straight line!' Mapleshade ordeerd the tributes. Dovewing was behind Lilykit. She took a last glimpse at her mother Whitewing and her father Birchfall. They had worried faces.
Mapleshade led them to the island where they would start the games.
"Spread out in a circle!" Mapleshade yowled. Dovewing back up making sure to keep Lilykit by her side in sight. Mapleshade and Redwillow leaped up on a tree stump in the middle of the circle.
"WHEN I SAY, THE GAMES HAVE BEGAN, THEY HAVE BEGAN!" Redwillow yowled so all the cats could here him
"TEN"
"NINE"
EIGHT"
"SEVEN"
"SIX"
"FIVE"
"FOUR"
"THREE"
"TWO"
"ONE"
There was a pause
"THE GAMES GAVE BEGAN." Redwillow yowled. Him and Mapleshade ran away.
Dovewing leaped as far as she could towards Lilykit. Right before she grabbed Lilykit Willowshine jumped onto Dovewings back. Dovewing rolled over and flipped Willowshine over on her tummy. She batted Willowshines head claws unsheathed. Willowshine yowled in pain twisting and turning. Dovewing was able to hold her down. She leaned down and grabbed Willowshines neck. She picked the small cat up and shook her.
"I'm sorry Willowshine!" She said in her mind. "Starclan please make her death be quick!" She sent a prayer to starclan. She put Willowshine on the ground and killed her by biting into her neck.
"Come on Lilykit!" She said to the scared kit. She picked her up and ran for Thunderclan territory.
