I roll over and nearly off of the bed when my alarm rings promptly at seven. Groggily I walk down the hallway while pulling my hair into a ponytail. I open the door to Tommy's room only to find that he's already up.
"Morning sissy, mum's bringing me to school today."
I nod my head even though the small boy is paying zero attention to me. I go back to my room and lock the door behind me like the day before. I take off my pajamas and put them in the usual hamper. Then I pull on a purple bra and underwear set, a red button down shirt, and a black and grey checkered skirt. I tuck the shirt in before pairing it with a black tie. I walk to the bathroom and struggle to brush through my hair and then straighten it the best I can while being half awake. I brush my teeth and pull my makeup out. I apply black liner on my waterline, mascara on my top and bottom lashes, and the same clear lip gloss as yesterday. I bite my lip as I look my dull face over once more in the mirror. I sigh sliding a pair of white rose earrings in my piercings. I turn off the dull light and make my way back down the hallway and into my own bedroom. I slip on a black pair of vans today and gather my song book in my bag.
You got a fetish for my love
I push you out and you come right back
Don't see a point in blaming you
If I were you, I'd do me tooI sigh before sighing and slapping my palm on my forehead in frustration. I've been trying really hard to write a song to impress my dad. Because every time I start writing one I end up throwing it away with zero intent of ever trying again. After several days of trying and experimenting with cords on the guitar, this is all I have. I zip up my bag and go over to the window opening the curtains slightly. I can't help my wondering eyes from peeping down at Luke's windows. The room is dark and for whatever reason I wonder where he is. I roll my eyes and get the rest of my stuff together. I turn off my light with my keys and wallet in one hand and make my way down the stairs.
"I'm headed out." I say walking into the kitchen to find mum and Tommy eating breakfast.
"Could you pick him up today?" Mum asks with pleading eyes.
I nod my head allowing a smile to form on my plump lips.
"I love you guys." I say kissing Tommy on the cheek. I come around the counter and hug my mum tightly.
"Have a good day." I mumble on my walk out the room.
I leave the house and unlock my car. I climb in, turn it on, and pull slowly and sufficiently out of the lot. I drive to school singing along to some classic Nirvana. I don't stop for drinks today, instead I drive directly to the school. I lock my car up and make my way to my locker.
"Morning Haley." Janelle hums.
I mumble a morning back and dig everything I don't need out of my bag.
"You seem cranky today." She pipes up with as we walk to English.
I shrug my shoulders fixating my gaze on the student walking ahead of me.
"Was up late thinking." I admit.
"I was up late too, but that's far from what I was doing."
I look over to see her smirking widely at me. I groan shoving her over as the large blush forms on my face.
"Come on Haley, you've got to do it sometime." She says laughing.
I put my face in my hands as our other friends fill the room as well.
"Do what?" Luke asks with a raised eyebrow.
"Nothing!" I quirk defensively.
Luke chuckles next to me, the smirk forming on his lips makes my cheeks grow hot. It seems that he has even more of an effect on me if that's even possible.
