I wake up and at the pounding pain in my head. I crawl out of bed and pull the shades closed before retreating to the bathroom.
"No!" I yell when I realize theirs not a bit of medicine in the entire bathroom.
I go back into my bedroom and throw on a pair of slippers. I throw my hair into a messy bun and angrily grab my phone, keys, and wallet. The last thing I wanted to do after being hung over was drive to the store. I grab my sunglasses and put them on before locking the door behind me. I climb into the car and drive to Target as fast as I possibly can. When I get in the store I grab two bottles of Advil, a Gatorade, and a water. As I go to cash out I feel my body collide with a much larger one. Groaning I look up ready to snap on the person until my eyes land on Nathan's.
"Hello." I breath out.
He lets out a laugh smiling. "Good morning Haley."
"Sorry I ran into you."
"It's no big deal, it gave me an excuse to ask you for dinner tomorrow."
"Dinner?" I ask quirking up my eyebrow.
"Yeah, around like six thirty?"
"Well I have a guitar lesson but as long as I can find a sitter for Tommy that would work."
"Is Tommy your kid or something?"
"No." I say shaking my head. "My little brother."
"Oh." He says blushing slightly. "Well why don't you give me your number and i'll message you to confirm?"
I smile taking his phone and entering my number into it.
"Have a good day Haley." He says grabbing his bagged items before kissing my cheeks.
"You as well." I say blushing like a little school girl.
I smile at the woman behind the counter and set my items up. I pay her and then leave climbing into my car. I instantly pop two of the pain relievers into my mouth and chase it with some fruit punch sports drink. I unlock my phone and open my messages to find several from my nanny asking that I come pick my brother up so that her and my grandpa can go out tonight. I put the car in reverse and make my way slowly but surely to the other side of town. When I get to my grams I knock once before opening up the door and entering. I find them in the living room playing blocks and I smile at the two.
"Hey guys."
"Sissy!" Tom cheers running up to me.
I hug him tightly and kiss his cheek. "I missed you buddy."
"I missed you too sissy!"
"Why don't you go get your things together and we'll grab some lunch from mcdonalds?"
He nods his head and retreats into the guest bed room.
"How are you holding up sweet heart?" Nanny asks.
"I'm doing alright, just beginning to get stressed."
"Well your dad will be back Tuesday and he'll help you out."
"I know." I say sighing.
Tommy reenters the room and I force a smile on my face.
"Are you ready to go mate?"
He nods his head and I take his small hand in mine. We each give nanny our hugs and say our I love yous before retreating out of the house.
"I missed you buddy." I say as I back out.
"I missed you too sissy, I wanna stay home from now on."
I laugh as I drive down the road.
"Okay mate, you can stay home with dad and I."
