Taylor's POV
The waves came and went in front of me, washing away small grains of sand at a time. I waited and waited for about 10 minutes for Cameron to show up. I don't know why he is taking so long. I looked far in the distance be saw Cameron walking out of the apartment and making his way toward me with his hands in his pant pockets. Once he was right in front of me, I sighed.
"What's up?" Cameron asked kicking a rock around.
"We have a problem... big problem." I say looking him in the eye.
"Well... what is it?"
I sighed once again and shook my head, "We've been caught."
"What do you mean?" Cameron asks frantically.
"The police are going to be at your house tomarrow morning. Someone reported seeing a vampire two nights ago and described their appearence. They also found out where the vampire lives, and it tracked back to your apartment." I say slowly, "Were you the vampire?"
"What?! No of course I wasn't- wait..." Cam says, "I did kill some dude behind a gas station two nights ago..."
"Dude! Don't you have tons of blood in your fridge or something? Why did you leave the house to go feed?!" I ask whisper/yelling.
"Were out of blood! Again! Rylan emptied every single bag in one night." He explains.
"Okay well you have to figure something out before they get here. Got luck." I patted his back and sprinted off back into the woods.
Rylans POV
Kill somebody? In forty-eight hours? No way. I cant do that. But I have to. My head is spinning once again. Maybe I can kill someone I don't like...? No that's too mean. Plus, I don't 'dislike' anyone. Except Nash at this very moment, but I would never kill him.
I only have one person to help me out with this. And that's either Cameron or Nash. Cameron's really demanding and Nash is really soft about it. Idk who I should choose. I should probobly go talk to Nash right now. And I'll try not to yell at him in the process.
I walked out of my room and knocked lightly on Nash's door. I heard feet walking and then the door swung open. Nash's hair was really messy and his eyes were tired looking and his cheeks were stained with tears. I looked at him worried and confused.
"Look Rylan, I am so sorry." He started but I shook my head putting my hand up.
"Lets not talk about this right now. I have a serious problem on my hands and I need your help." I tell him grabbing his hand and leading him to the bed.
"You want my help? But I thought you hated me-"
"I'm over it! Okay? Just listen. Please." I begged him.
He nodded, "Okay..."
"I need to kill somebody in less than 48 hours and suck fresh blood or I'll die of starvation. This shouldn't be anything new to you right? I mean you had to do the same." I say taking a deep breath.
"What? Who told you this?" Nash had a ace or confusion.
"Cameron."
Nash's POV
Of course. Cameron. Man, he must be really desperate to keep her here. Telling that lie right to her face like that and all. I have to agree with him though. His plan to keep her is working well. But I don't want to lie to her again. I'm pretty sure she hates me enough. Should I tell her the truth or continue the horrible lie?
"Oh yeah, right go on." Did I really just say that?
"I need your help. I cant go out there alone, Nash. I'm scared." She tell me sadly.
"Don't worry. I'll be right there by your side." I say putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Thank you!" She screeches pulling me into a tight hug, "I can trust you right?"
No. "Of course. I would never lie to you. I promise."
"Okay good. Because if you did, I would never talk to you again." She jokes hitting my arm playfully.
I let out a faint, believable laugh and scratch the back of my head, trying to hide the nervousness.
She stands up and walks out of the room waving to me before closing the door behind her. I wave back smiling, but it slowly fades once the door closes completely.
What did I just do?
