Nash's POV
I moment I felt the sharp pain right under my ribs, I knew what had happened. My mouth dropped open in shock as I felt my blood pulse slow. My face felt like it was getting colder and colder and the air around me was getting thicker and thicker. I started taking heavy breaths and my eyes started to close. Is this was real death feels like?
The last thing I can remember was the look on Rylans face before there was a flash and my body hit the floor.
Rylans POV
"Nash!" I screamed as I watched him go limp and fall to the floor.
I ran over to him wrapping my arms around him. Tears fell down my face and landed on his cheek as I sobbed over him. I looked over at Cameron who looked like he just saw a ghost. Slow, thin tears rolled down his face also as he started at his best friend.
"Help me carry him." I commanded Cameron, sniffing.
He nodded and we picked up Nash's body, carrying him outside to the car. We layed him down in the back seat. I kept sobbing quietly all the way to the hospital.
"Is he going to be okay?" I ask Cameron.
"I cant answer that." Cameron's says emotionless with tears still rolling down him face quietly.
"This cant be happening." I cry covering my face with my hands, "It wasn't suppose to end like this!"
Cameron doesn't respond. He just stares ahead at the road gripping the wheel tightly; his jaw clenched. I tried to cover my cries all the way to the hospital. The nurses wheeled him off to a room immidiantly for surgery. I sat in the cold waiting room, desperate for answers.
I kept looking at Cameron, who still had the same emotionless expression in his face. Their was so much sadness in his eyes that it just made me want to start crying again, but I sucked it up.
"I'm going to go get some thing from the vending machine. You want anything?" I asked Cameron, my voice shaking.
"I'm good." He answers simply, starring at the exact same spot on the wall.
I nod and walk into the cafe. Their were patients there eating and chatting happily. I was hoping to see Nash happily eating some where in there. But of course, he wasnt. He was dying in some surgery room, and I have no other option but to feel like it was my fault.
"Excuse me."
I turn around from the vending machine, facing a extremly handsome guy. He had crutches and a cast around his leg.
"Yes?" I asked.
"You've been standing there for like 5 minutes starring into space." He tells me smirking.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Just thinking." I tell him shaking my head and putting a dollar in.
"About what?"
I turn to face him, "That's none of your business."
"Oh feisty on aren't you?" He smirks again making him look even more good looking.
"Who are you?" I ask smiling a little.
"I'm Zach. And you are...?" He hints for me to say my name.
"Rylan. I'm 16." I tell him.
"Really, Im 16 also. Interesting." He smiles adjusting his beanie, "Your eyes are beautiful."
I smile and laugh a little. I shake my head and grab the chips out of the bottom of the machine, "Thanks."
"Your cute." He laughs.
"Really?" I grab a peice of paper out of my pocket and take a pen from the desk, writing my number on it, "You should call me sometime."
I give him the the tiny peice of paper before walking away winking. He shows me a little side smile and waves to me.
I walk back into the waiting room looking for Cameron but he's not in his seat. I look around the whole waiting room but he's no where in sight. I walk up to the main desk.
"Excuse me ma'am. Did you see I guy with tall brown Hair, wearing a navy blue shirt walk out of here?" I ask her.
"Yes, he just left." She tells me.
"What?"
I turn around and look out the window. The car was gone...
