On the car ride home me and Phil decided to get to know each other. I found out that he loves dogs, his favorite colour is blue and that he actually wears glasses. Apparently we also have two classes together, English and Art, but I never seemed to notice, probably because I spent a great deal of time doodling or staring off into space. By the time we reached home, all I wanted to do was flop down on my bed and fall asleep, but since it was Phil's first night here and he had a very hectic day I decided to let him sleep there.

Mr. Mooney still hadn't came back with to check in with us, let alone give us any of the furniture or things we needed so I went down the hallway to the next door down, PJ and Chris's room, and convinced them to let me borrow one of the fancy sleeping bags they had.

They used to hitchhike and camp all the time before college, and they had high quality sleeping bags that were super comfy. I took it down the hallway and laid it out on the floor next to the bed. I pushed the speakers out of the way and turned on the fan for some white noise. By now Phil was already asleep and snoring. Normally at this time I would turn on the TV until I fell asleep but I didn't want to wake him. Instead I stared at the ceiling waiting for my eyes to shut. While sitting in silence I noticed how much different life was with Phil around. If that was only one day, what would it be like for one month?

Thump

"Ow! What was that?" I yelled, I woke up to the sound of a loud noise followed by a large warm lump of blankets and limbs falling on me. I rolled over on my side to find that Phil had fallen off the bed on top of me and by some bloody miracle was still fast asleep. Geez, this guy could sleep through anything, couldn't he? I wasn't sure whether or not to leave him be or try to move him back onto the bed. In the end I made the decision to leave him be. I decided it would be a bit challenging to drag a limp, 6 foot something person on to a bed in the dark. I scooted over towards the window away so I wouldn't be directly underneath Phil. It was quite squishy down here but there were no blankets on the bed, they were all curled up around Phil. If I tried to get one I would probably wake him up, which I didn't want to do. All I want to do is sleep.
