After defeating Thanos, Bucky was accepted into the Avengers. He was struggling to adjust, even after three months of living in the tower, he didn't feel like he deserved to be an Avenger.

Steve tried everything to help his best friend, but nothing was enough.

Even though Bucky saved the world, many people didn't trust him. Even though the words (that turned him to the monster called the Winter Soldier) were gone out of his head people ran from him.

Steve had enough of his best friend being inside, hiding away from the world. He needed to get him out.

"We're going out" Steve announced as he entered Bucky's room.

Bucky's eyes went wide as he looked up at his best friend. "But-" "- No buts, you're going out, get ready."

Steve left the room before Bucky could argue. A loud sigh escaped Bucky's mouth. He couldn't argue with his best friend.

Bucky got dressed, then went to the living room. Steve was standing there talking to Wanda and Natasha.

Natasha was the first one to notice him. "Hi Bucky" she greeted making Steve turn around. "I'll see you girls later" he said before heading over to his best friend.

"You ready?" "Let's get this over with" Bucky mumbled.

The two walked out of the tower and made their way to the café Sam told Steve to visit.

When the entered everyone stared at them, Bucky felt extremely uncomfortable.

"Excuse me" Steve said as he went over to a worker. The worker looked at them and his eyes went wide as he noticed Bucky.

"We'd like-" "-I'm afraid I have to ask you to leave." The worker said interrupting Steve.

Steve looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "And why is that?"

The worker looked at Bucky. "We don't want murderers in this café."

"Come on Steve just leave" Bucky mumbled too quiet for anyone else to hear.

"I'd like to speak to the manager" Steve said. "I'm afraid that's not possible."

"Is everything okay" a girl asked. "Everything is fine, they were just leaving" the worker informed her.

"Why are they leaving? Are they not happy with your service?" the girl turned to Steve. "Are you not happy with our service?"

"I'm afraid we're unsure Ma'am. As soon as we walked in we were asked to leave" he told her.

The girl turned to the worker. "Why did you ask them to leave?"

"It's because he's-" the girl cut him off. "Before you continue, I'm warning you if you give a stupid reason I'm going to punish you."

The worker looked at Bucky. "He's the former Winter Soldier he's not -" the worker was cut off as the girl grabbed him by the back of the neck.

"That is NOT the Winter Soldier. Do you think that Steve Rogers, Captain America would let the Winter Soldier wonder into a Café?"

When the worker didn't reply the girl squeezed his neck. "Do you" she snapped. "No! No!"

"No of course not. That man is James Buchanan Barnes, a war hero. You will treat him with respect or so help me I will make sure you suffer" she hissed.
