Meeting the family//D.O

Y/N's P.O.V
I wake up and feel a weight on my stomach. I turn round to see my sleeping boyfriend cuddling me in his sleep. He's so cute. It was one of those moments you wish you could stay in forever but I knew we both had a busy day ahead of us.

I decide to wake him up even though I know it could be a challenge. "Dylan it's time to wake up."He slowly starts to wake up. "Morning babe." "Morning, now you know I love staying in bed with you but we have to get ready or we'll be late."I say standing up and walking to the wardrobe.

Today is the day that Dylan is meeting my family and let's just say that Dylan was nervous. He had met my parents a few times and they really liked him which was a relief but now is the real judgement. My aunts and uncles have been waiting to meet him since we became a couple and my family can be a bit overwhelming at times.

I had just finished getting ready and adding the final touches to my makeup when i hear a loud bang from our bedroom. I run in to see Dylan on the floor. "What the hell happened!" I say running to his side
"Well I was trying to get the box from the top of the wardrobe to find the picture album to impress your family." He said standing up.

He wobbled a bit as he stood up and scratched the back of his head, he looked so adorable. "What do you mean?" "Well I was going to look through the picture album to try and get to know some facts about your family before meeting them. I just wanted to seem like the perfect guy to your family." He says looking down in embarrassment. Just the fact he was going to do that for me gave me butterflies. "Really you were going to do that. You shouldn't worry you are the perfect guy because of that. And even if they don't like you it doesn't matter because I love you." I say sitting down next to him on the bed."I love you too, thank you I've been worried about today for a while but you saying that really puts my mind at rest. And hey who wouldn't love me!" he says making a funny face that makes me laugh.

Time skip (till the party)
We just arrived at my sisters birthday party and Dylan is starting to look a bit uneasy. "Hey are you ok?"I say putting my hand in his shoulder. "Yeah, well sort of a mixture of happy and nervous at the moment."I leaned over and kissed him. "You'll be fine my parents love you and I'm sure that my other family will love you just as much. But not as much as I do of course."I say winking at him and getting out of his car.

We walked over to the door and both looked at each other before going in. As soon as we stepped through the door a stampede of my younger cousins came and hugged my legs. "Y/N, Y/N! You came. Who did you bring?"one of my my little cousins asked. That's when Dylan leaned down to her height and introduced himself. "Hey there I'm Dylan." he said holding out his hand and giving her a warm smile. "Hi I'm Y/C/N" she said shaking his hand. That's when a bunch of my cousins swept Dylan away to go play with them. His reaction was priceless, he was so shocked!

I went to go talk to my other relatives and give my sister her present. "Hey Y/N I thought you were bringing Dylan with you to the party." Y/S/N says. "I did the kids stole him away from me!" I laughed. "Anyway I need to go save him want to come?" "Yeah I could use a little laugh"

We looked round the hole house until we went outside to the garden and saw Dylan playing with the little kids making them laugh. One of my cousins fell over, I went to go pick them up but Dylan got there first. He picked them up and sat them down. "Hey bud,come on don't cry it's ok. You know I fall over a lot too but Y/N can always make me smile. Is there a special someone you have that makes you smile like this?" He says doing a funny smiling face. You watch as your little cousin smiles and starts to play again. How could Dylan think that he wasn't perfect?
Then Y/S/N turned to me and smiled "You picked a good guy Y/N the hole family thinks so after seeing him today." "Really? Dylan will be so relieved to hear that." I say relaxing thinking of Dylan when you tell him.

Time skip (till you're home)

After the long day of Dylan meeting the rest of my family we were both exhausted. We were both getting ready for bed when I thought it would be good to tell him what
Y/S/N said. "Hey Dylan I saw you with the kids today and I didn't know you were so good with kids." "Well I have hidden talents. They were not as much trouble as you said they were." he said lying down on the bed. "Well let me just say that my family loved you, they even asked me to bring you the every family event coming up." I said before lying next to him. "Really?!" He asked showing the brightest smile. "Aww your so cute. I love you." "I love you too, night." He said before kissing me and hugging me. "Goodnight" I say before slowly drifting off to sleep. He is just perfect.
