Someone who is twice exceptional is someone who is advanced and has delays and/or disabilities. Gifted people are often delayed in one or more areas, or have a disability or disorder such as dyslexia, autism, sensory processing, OCD, ADHD, etc.,  and therefore twice exceptional.
