"Well, it feels great to be out of that stale cage doesn't it, my King," she glared at someone who looked exactly like my father.

"Much so my dearest," he said just as malicious as she sounded.

"So, now that we are free it is time to come up with a plan to take our kingdom back over."

"Yes, so much as we don't hurt my daughter."

"Don't worry honey, we won't touch a hair on her pretty little head. Although that other queen just cannot stay. She's the whole reason we are here..." the King cut her off.

"I thought that this was of my daughters doing, what does my ex-have to do with it?"

"Oh, you'll see pretty boy. Oh, you'll see." she rubbed her hands together and made one of those evil queen laughs. How cheesy could she get?

...

Anyways, back at the castle, I started to notice something weird once more but I just couldn't point it out. My mother was her average wacky self but my father... there just was something not quite right.

It was about a month after the potion was resolved, Friday, April the 4th to be exact. I woke up and walked down to the kitchen from my sleeping chambers.

"Wow! Is something special happening today or what?" I walked down to see streamers strung from the ceiling and balloons tucked in all the corners of the room, a colossal cake presented in the middle of it all. I didn't remember it being any special day. I saw Naomi walk down to see the sight also.

"What the hell is going on here Zozo?" she said all wide-eyed.

"That's what I'm trying to figure," I said peering around the room.

All the sudden Antony jumped out of the corner, "Surprise! A whole month after practically saving the world!" he said brushing the imaginary dust off his shoulder.

"We saved like three people but whatever," I said kinda weirded out at the fact that he had that date marked on his calendar.

"Um..." Naomi said nothing and just started awkwardly.

"Yeah, I'm not in the celebrating mood today," I said as a balloon popped.

"Awww," Antony moaned, "Don't you even wanna have a slice of cake?!"

"Sorry, my stomach's been bothering me all week..." I cushioned.

" ... same..." Naomi slurred.

I looked to see Naomi had a solemn look on her face. "What's wrong Naomi?"

"Yeah, you seem kinda, ya' know, not good..." Antony's voice skidded.

"Well, just last month. When you guys saved me and all I wasn't under a spell..."

"What do you mean? It was obvious you were acting up. I saw it with my own eyes. I saw to let my parents push you around..." Naomi cut me off, a little too forcefully if you ask me.

"I-I wasn't under a spell. I was under my own word, I remember everything. It wasn't my doing though."

I placed my hand off her forehead as if checking for a fever, "You sure you're alright? Your not making sense."

"I can't tell you any more or else she will, I mean... uh... I've said too much..." she tilted her head to the ground.

"Who is "HER"?" I questioned.

It wasn't like Naomi to keep secrets. She was usually open about everything. She was the one to warn me about my father, my mother, even friggin' Queeny! Something was up.

" ... um ... I ... uh..." she ran out of the room sobbing.

I wanted to go after her but I knew that would do no good. She would just run more. She was young and unknowing, I don't think she could handle the stress well. Especially after I saw her break down the first time we got in an argument.

"What's wrong with her?" Anthony asked scratching his head.

"I don't know but I'm gonna find out... somehow..."

All the sudden my mother walked into the room. "Well, well! What's going on here?! Celebrating your one year anniversary of da..." I cut my mom off.

"No, it's not like that! Like, not at all! We're just friends."

"Yeah, um, Mrs. Royalty. We're friends..."

"Yeah, he likes Fawn..."

"You didn't have to tell them that!"

"Well sorry," I said with a bit of an attitude, "you didn't tell me you had any secrets to hide!"

"Wowza, I didn't mean to start anything, let alone assume anything was going on. I just thought..."

"You thought wrong mother."

"Well sorry" she looked down at the ground and walked away.

I was never really talked to my mother like that but I was in a weird state. Things just didn't seem right. We had just gotten back from the land of misery and stepped into to university of boredom. Lie just sucks sometimes and you don't know why. I hate when I get this feeling. I didn't think anyone really enjoys it.
