Cherryle's POV:

When I reached home I'm the forest, I found my sister Maddie crying at the bottom of our tree. The second she heard my footsteps, she stood up and ran to hug me.

"Hey, everything is gonna be alright!" I said starting out confident but ending up not believing it myself. "I can do this, I'm already thinking up a plan. My mate will not find me! I'll return soon. Now, let's go get dinner huh?" I said trying to convince her. I knew I would make it, but I'll need her confidence.

Hmm... maybe since we have to wear pink in the games since we're humans... I could cover my face with some sort of mask? Huh, that could work. But... how would I hide my sent?
I read that the wolves can strongly smell their mates sent. They also can tell their mate by smell, urges, their wolf chanting "mate" and last but certainly not least...
the spark that flows through them when their eyes meet!

I heavily consider my options as I continue walking around our camp ground in the forbidden forest checking all of our traps for dead animals we could have to eat.
I end up returning to Maddie with:
1, rabbit
3, squirrels
2, birds
And
3, frogs.

"Check what I found in the traps today!"
I exclaim to Maddie.
"Woah! Wha-h-how?" She says, words failing her as she drools over what I found.
"Talent, that's how!" I remark, clearly showing off.
"Sooo... what's your 'brilliant' plan?" She says with a smirk.
"I'll wear a mask the whole time so they can't see me, wear an insanely strong sented perfume, bring extra clothes. So when the chase begins, I can spray myself, run really far, ditch the perfume and change clothes, start traveling by treetops to hide my sent and keep turning and switching patterns to throw them off." I say very proud of myself.

"Wow, that could actually work!" Maddie says as if surprised. "Ummm duh?" I snap back annoyed at her lack of confidence in me.
"Ugh... lets just climb up the tree and sleep! Tomorrow's a big day and I only have 3 days until I leave for the mating games!" I say with a yawn looking at the high rised moon.
"Goodnight" Maddie barely makes out while she passes out, already in our tree.
"Goodnight Maddie!" I chuckle as I climb up the tree as I've been doing  so for years.
"Goodnight."
