Chapter 17: Thank You's

Chapter 17:
3 weeks later...
       I pulled the black dress dress over  my head tugging it down to my knees. 'Ugh' I thought, 'nothing fits anymore' I took it off standing in the mirror, nothing on besides my undergarments. I rubbed my stomach the bump in front of me.
I ran back to my closet remembering that I was in a hurry. I grabbed a white dress and slipped it on. It fit just fine, but it was a dress that I meant to return because I didn't like the way it fit tightly against my body. But now it was even tighter, I was wider in the hips and chest. It hugged my bump tightly making me seem bigger then I am. But at least everything was covered. I grabbed a jean jacket and some black booties. I would normally where heels but my feet and ankles have grown into canckles so I don't really have a choice.
I ran to my mirror in the bathroom plopping my butt on the end of the counter, we're going to a special thing so I have to where makeup. I quickly applied some concealer, eyeliner, mascara, and some nude lipstick.
Once I felt that I looked presentable I grabbed my blow dryer drying my hair, I grabbed the straightener making the very little curls I have disappear. I spritzed my perfume against my body before walking out the bedroom door. In the kitchen I found Cole tucking in his button down shirt into his jeans. But not just normal jeans, these were black skinny jeans with a patterned shirt.
"You ready to go?" he asked.
"Yea! You like?" I waved my hands down my sides showing off my outfit.
"You look beautiful as always" Cole looked down his brown eyes sparkling at me as he spoke.
He leaned down kissing my lips his lips soft as, rose petals. I loved it when he did corny stuff like this especially with kisses. Each kiss is like the first each, soft, sweet, and full of exploration.
I pulled away breathing in roughly from shock. I grabbed my black purse off the counter slinging it around my body it fitted comfortably in between my breasts and bump. Cole leaned down and kissed me again before we were interrupted by honking of a car horn. I wiped the access lipstick from around my mouth before following Cole out the door.
I opened the door to the backseat as Cole climbed in. My mom sat at the steering wheel hands on the wheel her foot on the brake ready to go. I closed the door and buckled my seatbelt.
"Are you ready?!" my mom asked. We nodded as she drove down the street.

We pulled into Ash's driveway I looked around to see the house decorated. Ash is very precise with decor, so of course she had a color scheme everything matched down to the last confetti strip.
We had arrived before the party started to help set up food and drinks so parking was easy.
I opened the door stepping out getting a good look around. There was sky blue, white, and gold balloons tapped to the mailbox and streamers wrapped around the wood. I stepped to the doorway seeing balloons laying on the rocking chairs and floor. I opened the door walking through the house seeing the same decorations spread out. I finally reached the kitchen, I see Ash starting to prep food before she sees me.
"Hey, you arrived just in time. I need some help. The cups arrived and their in the hallway. I need them assembled and put on the table over there"
I headed to the hallway seeing the three big boxes. I chose one before sitting on the ground, grabbing the exacto knife off the side table to help me. I cut open the boxes to see cups with lids for the kids.

I finished with the cups as Cole walks by carrying a table with Jay. Every step he took his muscles flexed making his arms look bigger. I blushed noticing I was staring.
I stood up with the help of the side table and walked back into the kitchen to see food spread out across a table. There was sliders, chicken tenders, and french fries with a whole bunch of condiments. Ash was pacing the kitchen trying to find something.
"I can't find it" she said. I raised my eyebrows in confusion.
"What are you looking for" I just finished setting up the cups on the table near the plates and napkins.
"A box, it has more decorations in it. I need the burger float and blow up out of there"
I nodded popping a chip into my mouth, even though I just ate a bowl of oatmeal an hour ago I was still hungry. But unfortunately not all the food was done. My mom went to the grocery store to buy more food. Ash doesn't know that she's in town so she thinks that Sam is buying food. But little does she know there is a surprise in store.

I stepped out to the back patio deck. There was a wooden decorated wall with vines growing up it. There was a banner hanging above it that was gold with white writing that read 'Happy Fabulous Fifth Birthday' It went perfectly with the color scheme just matching all colors identically.
The pool was a crystal clear light blue. There was floats in the water along with a bin of toys and water balloons to the side and of course the water balloons were white, blue, and yellow. Plenty of seating covered the lawn and concrete. The grass freshly cut, the smell strongly filling my nostrils making my stomach churn in anger. I filled another container with pool towels, all of them decorated uniquely but beautiful.

Party Time!!!!!

Kaden woke up from a quick nap just in time for guests. Sam had came in with the groceries my mom bought still leaving her appearance a surprise. I texted her letting her know to come to the front door and knock.

Ash's P.O.V
I placed another bag of chips on the table out of breath from all of the running around. I take another look at Astrid her stomach huge already practically bulging through her dress, but some how she pulled it off.
I sat down on a bar stool trying to relax before more people showed up and I had to do more stuff. I heard a knock on the door. I sighed out before standing up and walking to the front door. I unlocked the deadbolt before swinging the wooden door open. My eyes widen with surprise to see my mom at the front door.
"Oh my god what are you dong here?! Like at my house" I said shock still running through my veins.
"I'm here to see my grandson and celebrate with you" her smile so wide it couldn't fit on her slim face. She wore a similar dress to Astrid's except hers was patterned in blue and pink hearts and went to her feet which were protected by brown sandals. Her orangish hair hung past her shoulders her curls loose and beautiful.
I stepped outside finish her a hug before the birthday boy ran out in his golden crown. "Me-Me" he ran in between our hug and hugged her knees.
"Happy birthday!" my mom said squatting down before hugging him. I turn around to see Astrid behind me smiling.
"You can thank Cole he helped her pull some strings to come see us!"
