Chapter 23:
I just finished placing lights in the bushes. Just as a car parked on the side of the road. They stood up their head peeking over the car a black hat sat upon they're head. They reached down and opened the door pulling out a baby.
They walked to the other side and I could see Sam with Heather and Jay's baby, Sebastian on her hip. She opened the other door and Kaden and Carly hopped out. Carly unfortunately just woke up form her nap, the tired ness in her eyes still strong. So she needed up on Sam's other hip.
"Hey sister!" she shouted once she spotted me. "There is food in the trunk but first you need to take a baby" she smiled. Just as she said baby the baby must have gotten a clue and kicked making my skin shift with it.
I walked up to Sam grabbing Carly from her arms, Kaden already ran behind me to go get his toys from inside. She gestured Sebastian towards me and I grabbed him too. She then straightened out her shirt so I could read it.
"I'm here for the sex" I read aloud as she giggled. That's just like Sam something humerus and inappropriate, she has the dirtiest mind ever. Like you can just be having a normal conversation and she'll burst out laughing because you said something like, wet.
"Isn't it good?!"she laughed.
"It's... interesting" I chuckled, "I'm going to drop these babies off inside" I said placing a kiss on Sebastian's cheek. His mouth spread into a smile as his feet kicked my stomach.

I laughed my eyes shut tightly and my hands clutching my bump. Once again, the baby started kicking and turning.
"Sam" I started as the laughing dialed down, "give me your hand!" She did as I said I lifted up my shirt and placed her hand where the baby's foot lay as it kicked my stomach repeatedly.
"Aww, my niece is excited to see me!" she smiled.
"But what if it's a boy?!" I asked raising hey eyebrows at her.
"Oh it's not, I'm just a genius! I know it's a girl. My niece"
As the baby calmed down she moved her hand and I pulled my shirt back down. I looked back into the kitchen to see Ash and her friend having a full conversation about some pot roast. 'Ugh moms and their boring conversation topics!' I thought. A little chuckle escaping my lips.
"What's so funny" Sam raised her eyebrows at me. Curiosity ran through her eyes.
The door bell rang and I waved her off getting up to get the door. I twisted the knob before pulling to door back towards me. Behind the wooden structure stood Jay and Heather. Their hands hooked, smiles plastered on their faces.
"Hey come in" I said waving my hand towards the living room. Heather stopped and opened her arms out and hugged me.
"Long time no see. How are you?" She asked her smile still standing strong.
"I'm ok, each day is better than the last"
"Well your making progress and that's key!" Jay walked into the doorway and towards the couch where all the kids lay and Sam sat.
Now that everyone was in I got a good look at the front door, there was a banner placed on top it read 'He or She, Come in to See' I smiled at another clever decoration idea Ash probably stole from Pinterest.
"So, where do you work?!" Heather asked brushing her hands along the sides of her skirt.
"Down at Annie's! I know it's not a dream job but they pay enough to get me by. I'll get a better one once the baby is born" She nodded looking around.
"Well I see you got a new house, I'd love to see it"
I nodded walking out of the doorway and towards the kitchen and living room. Showing her the two areas, and describing my plans for the future. I walked on, leading her into the powder room. The bathroom sparkling clean. She peaked her head inside before I flicked the switch off and left.
Once we finished the whole house, we returned back to the living room where a few friends sat; including Luke. Heather walked to Sebastian, and picked him up and snuggling him in kisses.
"Hey" I snapped my head in the direction of the voice. My eyes harsh and cold with shock.
"I like the way you decorated, it's a bold theme" I smiled as I saw Luke's sweet, charming, comforting face. My eyes now softened, my lips turning up into a smile.
"Thanks, my sister decorated it's kind of her 'thing'"
"So who is this sister of yours? I'd like to meet the excellent decorator"
"She's over here" I said leading him into the house more. I stopped at the island Ash hiding behind it. As she worked away at her snack typed dish.
"Ash, this is Luke. Luke, this is Ash" I waved my hand around introducing them as I spoke.
"Hi" Ash waved, "I would shake your hand but I have chicken hands. I still will if you really need one" she added throwing out her hand offering him a shake.
"I think I'll pass. I mean it won't kill me right" he added throwing in his charming smile.
"Well never know will we" she replied
"Ok, that's enough" I said staring her down. I mean I sort of have a crush on the guy I don't need her embarrassing me but that was too late my cheeks were already warming up.
I stepped out into the living room Luke on my tail.
"Ok so this is Luke" I started getting everyone's attention, "Luke this is Sam, Heather, Jessie, and their son Sebastian. These are Ashley's kids, Kaden ad Carly. So yea there's everyone" I nervously scratched the back of my neck.
I'm not usually an out going person. I get startled and nervous very easily. So if you throw in a boy that I think is cute, and I have a crush on. Or rather I get along with, I don't know the man well enough yet. I'm a complete shy mess!

I waked through the kitchen everyone had arrived and my house now seemed small because of all of the bodies, furniture, gifts, and food. Ash had finally settled down. I finished my conversation with someone, they walked away approaching the table covered in all types of food. Selecting what they wanted. I did the same, my pregnant stomach grumbling with hunger.
Unfortunately the Olive Garden haven't arrived yet, but fortunately they were catering for us. I picked around a cheese plate, trying the best not to eat it all. I flipped my head at the sudden hand on my shoulder.
"Ugh... someone's here" Luke spoke confusion crossing his face. I stepped away from my snack and walked to the door. I peeked outside to see her; Cole's mother standing in the driveway a stack of papers and two balloons filled her hands. My mouth ran dry and suddenly the need for food disappeared and the need for water replaced it.
