I got up the next morning to an empty bed. I sat up and grabbed my phone 8:37 am, Daniel walked into the room.

"Morning sunshine!" He chirped. I groaned and rubbed my eyes. Daniel kneeled in front of me. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm good actually. I just don't want to leave today."

Daniel smiled and got up. "We can come back, it's not expensive to fly here. Plus my parents love you and would love to have us stay anytime."  he paused. "But come on my mom made breakfast." Daniel grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the room. The boys were all sitting at the dining room table, Jonah and I made eye contact and he gave me a small smile. I gave him a toothless one back, as he continued to talk with Jack. I didn't eat, but I sat in between Corbyn and Daniel as the rest of them feasted on their breakfast.

"Why aren't you eating?" Corbyn asked.

"I'm just not hungry." I shrugged, Jonah and I made eye contact again. He looked sorry. "Anyway what time is our flight?"

"Actually it was delayed so it's tonight at ten," Jonah said from across the table.

"So what do you guys want to do today?" Jack asked running his fingers through his hair.

"We could go hiking!" Daniel said in excitement.

"Oh yes, that sounds fun!" Christina said walking into the room. Her hair was wet so I'm guessing she had just taken a shower.

"There's this cool hiking trail called angels rest. It's so cool we should definitely go." Daniel said standing up to clear the table. Everyone agreed to go and we all parted ways to get dressed.

I took a quick shower in Daniel's bathroom. Only washing my body and my hair. I heard the door open. "Daniel?"

"Yeah?" He asked.

I peeped my head out of the shower but kept my body hidden behind the curtain. "Hello, dreamy Seavey," I said noticing his bare torso. In reality, Daniel looked very tiny but he is actually kinda buff when you really take a look at him. Daniel Seavey is literally perfect.

"Hello, my beautiful girlfriend." He said looking in the mirror at me I smiled and turned off the running water as I was done with my shower. I grabbed the towel that was on the floor and wrapped myself in it before stepping out behind the curtain. Daniel was brushing his hair in the mirror. I walked back into Daniel's room and got dressed in a pair of light green cargo pants and a grey tank top. I brushed my hair and put on a pair of vans.

Daniel walked out and rummaged through his suitcase. Daniel got dressed in a pair of black joggers and a grey hoodie. He grabbed a backpack from his closet and threw some extra stuff in it, he then proceeded to put on some sneakers. I watched him while I kneeled on the floor. The sun flooded the room through the window which seemed to make the moment perfect.

"What are you looking at?" Daniel asked tilting his head.

"You of course," I said getting up and stepping in front of him. The sun warmed my skin and left our shadows on the floor. He smiled and his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink.

"Daniel?" I asked taking his hand and rubbing his knuckles with my thumb.

"Mhm?"

"I really need to talk to you about something important." I paused. "I just want you to know that I love you and please don't leave me or let me do this on my own I really need you in my life right now and I thought you should-"

Before I could finish the door flew open and Zach popped his head in.

"Are you guys ready to go because we're all waiting for you." He said

"We'll be down in a second we just need to talk about something quickly," Daniel said smiling. Zach closed the door with no response. "I love you Alaska, and I'd never leave you or let you handle whatever is going on in your life alone." He said before kissing my forehead. "But I know he interrupted you, what else did you want to say?"

I smiled "We'll talk about it when we get home tonight. How does that sound?" I asked

"Perfect now let's get going," Daniel said dragging me out of his bedroom once more. We both jogged down the stairs and ran outside.

Daniel got into the driver's seat, and I got into the passenger's seat. The rest of the boys and Christina were all in the back. Daniel started the car and swiftly pulled out of the driveway without hesitation.

"How long will it take to get there?" Jack asked from the back seat.

"Only about thirty minutes, maybe less depending on traffic," Daniel said.

I interlaced my fingers with his and we all sang to the terrible songs on the radio.

After arriving at the hiking trail all of us got out of the car and made our way to the top. It was only about two and a half miles to the top so it only took us another thirty minutes to reach the top. And once we did, it was gorgeous.

Just as we reached the landing my jaw dropped and everyone gasped. It was incredible. The view was so amazing. It reminded me so much of the time Daniel and I climbed to the Hollywood sign. The view overlooked Columbia river, it was stunning. I walked over to the edge of the viewing area. There was something about Portland that I loved. It's so different from New York and LA. Portland is so incredible.

I felt a pair of familiar arms wrap around my waist. "Do you like it?" Daniel asked putting his chin on my shoulder.

"I love it, Daniel," I said turning around. I engulfed him in a hug. "But mostly, I love you," I said lifting my head from his chest. We both created distance between our bodies but instantly I connected our lips.

"OOOO get it!" I heard Christina yell as she took a picture of Daniel and I. We parted and I looked down at my feet, I could still feel his gaze on my skin so I looked up and I was met with him. His eyes were so vibrant and incredible. I love this boy and I say it every day but I really do. He kissed my forehead softly and I laughed.

"This is so basic isn't it?" I asked

"Hundred percent," Daniel said returning the laugh. I shook my head in disapproval while I laughed. We returned to the rest of the group who sat at a picnic table enjoying the view.

Christina showed me the picture of Daniel and I, and of course, I asked her to send it to me. I love Christina, she's so great and so real. We also have a lot in common like our style and our future goals and aspirations. I really do look at her like a sister, she's so reliable and beautiful. Her and Corbyn are so happy together.

For another hour, the seven of us sat at this table enjoying the time we had together. Life couldn't get any better at this moment. Nothing could ruin what Daniel and I have. Little did I know, that was entirely wrong.
