Chapter 20

FRIDAY  Night

Y/N POV

I have been practicing ten times now. It's not speech, it's bowing. Bowing is not very familiar with me so I have to practice to make it a habit. Today I have to bow before Taehyung's grandmother, The High Queen. I'm so nervous. I've never been more nervous like this in my whole life, it's so irritating plus my stomach hurts.

I wore a long cotton peach dress for today. The hat? Yeah I borrowed it from my mother, she has a lots of them.

I practiced last time infront of the mirror and went to my car, my manager's driver is driving me there today.

When I reached, the door of the car was opened to me by Taehyung himself. Tae greeted me and kissed my hands.

"You ready babe?" He asked.

"I've never been more ready." I replied with confidence building inside of me.

The large door opened for us and one of the guards led us inside. The hall was big, very big enough to put a giant's foot inside. He showed us to a big room, must be the Queen's chamber I think. And yes, I was right. It was the Queen's chamber. She was sitting in one of the sitting chairs and was playing with her cat. When we went inside she shifted her look towards us.

"Now" Taehyung whispered.
And we bowed infront of the Royal Highness.

She greeted us with a 'welcome' and told us to sit.
"So...Kim Taehyung please start." I think by start she meant with explanation.

"Grandmother, first of all I apologise for the mistakes I've made which disturbed the Royal image. I know that you've already seen the news but we came here to confirm about our news."

"Son, you forgot to first introduce her to me." She said in a soft tone.

"Oh right!" He stood up and said
"Grandma, this is Y/N-ah." I stood up and bowed again.

"Hello, nice to meet you miss Y/N." She said smiling.

"Nice to meet you too, ma'am." I also replied and smiled.

"Well don't just keep on standing up, staring at me. Please sit down and tell me about both of you. And also I would like to know more about miss Y/N. Miss where are you from? And how did you two meet?"

"Ma'am..my name is Y/F/N. I'm from Y/C/N. I was born and hailed in Y/S/N. My mother's name is Alicia. She worked as a doctor but after retirement she's working as a photographer. My father's name is Jordan Y/L/N. I have two step siblings from my father's past marriage. He works in the government's office. My parents got divorced when I was 13 years."

Then Taehyung started.
"We were set up on a blind date. At first, we decided to keep our relationship secret but then somebody spotted us and started spreading rumours and eventually they came to know the truth..that we were dating. We don't how how they found out about our trip but I'm sure nobody from there would tell anybody. It must be someone who's close to us who revealed everything. We are now dating for one and a half year. I proposed her just a day before, on Wednesday. We came here to ask for your consent and also blessing on our wedding."

"Do you both love each other?"
She asks.

"Yes" we both responded together.

"Do you both think that you're ready to share your life with one another?"

"Yes"

"Do you think you can keep her happy for the rest of your life?" She looked at Taehyung and asked.

"Yes I will" he replied.

"And miss Y/N-ah, will you stay by his side forever?"

"Yes ma'am, I promise" I repied.

"Will you both remain loyal to each other?"

"Yes."

"Can you both have many grandchildren for me?" She laughs while asking this question.

I felt shy and tugged on his sleeves. He also bent his head downward and if I'm not mistaken, I saw him blushing like a tomato.

"Don't be shy you two. I'm just kidding...I give you both my consent and blessings on your marriage, children." she smiled and said.

We both stood up bowed and thanked the Queen. She shook hands with us and congragulated us. I can't believe I'm getting married to this wonderful family.

Taehyung POV

I'm so glad that my grandmother gave us consent. I'm ready to start this journey with Y/N.
