I finish up putting my signature on all of the character designs. Every thing looks so cool and neat, I can't wait to see the final game when it's finished.
I stack all of the folders in my arms and I push open one of my doors, walking out into the main office.
Everyone is lively: answering phones, running around with different sketches, and planning events. It's all so amazing.
"Here you go, Ms. Addie," I sit the files down on her desk and smile at her. My sudden appearance seems to have startled her, and she gazes up at me with big doe-like eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Jett!" She stands from her seat. "I could have came and got those! You didn't have to bring them!"
"Its alright! I wouldn't want you to walk all the way in there just to get a couple of folders!" I smile at her.
She has a look of shock on her face, but she soon smiles back.
"You can also call me Hana, all this 'Ms. Jett' stuff kinda catches me off guard," I grin cheekily.
"Oh, sure...Hana," She smiles bigger.
"But," I shove my hands into my pockets, looking around. "Where's Drake at?"
"He's in his office," She points directly beside my room to another door. "He normally stays in there until he gets an order."
"He has his own office?" I ask, my eyebrows rising.
She nods, sitting back down in her chair. "Personal Assistant is a pretty high up job," She comments, typing at something on her computer. "Its not something that's easy to get."
"Hey," I whisper, crouching down so that I can rest my chin on the edge of her desk. "Can I ask something?"
She looks around and nods at me.
"What exactly is my job?" I ask, feeling like a complete idiot after I do so.
She lightly laughs. "The CEO's job is to sign papers and approve designs and projects. They can also pitch in ideas that they think would be helpful. I would say you'd have to watch the stocks, but Mr. Jett handed that job off to ECON down on the third floor."
"Oh," I nod. "Thank you!" I smile sweetly at her as I stand from where I was crouched.
I walk around the office some more, asking about what everyone was doing. I notice that each member has pictures of what they like most.
Addie had fashion magazine clippings everywhere, along with a catalog with a red purse circled.
Betty has pictures of her family on display, and also with coupons for various restaurants tacked up.
Andrew has pictures of Fei, and Fei also has pictures of Andrew.
Are they dating?
Grover has pictures of his black Labrador posted up, mixed in with pictures of various art supplies.
As I get closer Grover's cubicle, I notice that him and Andrew are bickering about something.
"No, I'm saying that we should add in a partner," Andrew points at Grover's screen.
"Don't you know how long it takes to design a new person from scratch?" Grover rebuts, ignoring Andrew's pleas.
"But it looks too plain!" Andrew complains.
"Hi guys," I walk behind them. "What are you talking about?"
"Ms. Jett!" They both jump at the sound of my voice and I laugh.
