Chapter 37

"Momma where's dad?" "I'm sorry honey, he has late shifts tonight." "Dad always has late shifts." "Well, he's a doctor Jiminie. He's busy." Jimin sighed before nodding. "Yeah, I know," he mumbled before taking another spoonful of pasta, only to be coughing as he somehow swallowed it wrong.

Mrs. Park watched as Yoongi patted his back and gave him water, making sure to quickly grab Jimin's napkin and place it under his chin since the water was spilling. "You okay?" he asked when Jimin stopped drinking and the last cough escaped his lips. He hummed and Yoongi ruffled Jimin's hair before gently pinching his cheek, continuing to eat afterwards.

She smiled at the scene. Of course not at Jimin choking on the food, but at Yoongi taking care of him. "You two have any plans for this evening?" "We're gonna go to the movies," Jimin spoke with a childish tone, kicking his legs back in forth before stuffing his mouth with more pasta. "How nice, what are you gonna watch?"

"Some sappy romantic Korean drama," Jimin giggled to himself. "Well alright then." Jimin waited for her to tell him when to be home at latest but she didn't say anything. "Not gonna give me a curfew?"

She gave him a small smile. "I figured it's okay if you're with Yoongi." "Are you saying I can't take care of myself?" Jimin huffed. Jimin may have acted a bit offended, but Yoongi was happy that his mother trusted him and thought that he could take care of her son. "Come on sweetie, boys like you shouldn't walk around late and all alone," she cooed, leaning over the table to pinch Jimin's cheek.

Jimin playfully rolled his eyes. "Hey, I can be tough." Yoongi broke out laughing and so did his mom.

"Y'all just a bunch of meanies!"
