11th March, 2000
That night was the most horrible night of the year. the biggest incident of that year took place on that day. The citizens were alarmed and panicked and looked up to the situation in utter disbelief. A big factory in the heart of the city was burned down to ashes. It was not only an economic loss but it also took lives of some noble people. Nothing was left behind except empty hopes and shattered happiness. Enormous flames engulfed everything it could in its access. A servant of the factory was among the survivors and was being suspected for the arson. Every news channel was trying to get hold of him to have an interview while the police department was busy investigating him. Who was he? Was this merely an accident or was it all planned before?

18 Years Later,
The starry night sky hovered over the acres of large field in the lap of which lied that beautiful castle-like canopy. The light cool breeze cuddled with the silk clothe of canopy adding to the charms of the splendid view. High-pitched musical sounds could be heard out of the canopy covering up all the chattering noises of the people inside. The whole country knew that a huge marriage ceremony was being held inside that canopy as it was announced weeks before on all the news-broadcasting channels. It was the wedding of the only daughter of a rich bureaucrat. Stout guards marched outside the entrance.
A jeep stopped by a hill near the canopy with a strange gurgling sound. The hill was deprived of all the light at night so nothing was visible. A strange figure came out of the jeep and opened the bonnet. After a little while that person could be seen wiring the battery of the car with a nearby generator which was probably the one supplying power to all the canopy appliances. At the very next moment there was a power outage with a huge banging sound and every other sound faded in the darkness. The figure probably panicked moving here and there but soon enough was grabbed by another strange presence and dragged to the thick forested area on the same hill. No sound could the first person utter as the mouth was covered by the thick gloved hand of a person who was stronger than him. The footsteps of guards could be heard running here and there looking for a reason that caused commotion.
The spare generators were soon started to continue the ceremony which once again lit up all the surroundings. Music could be heard again and everything was soon settled. However, the forested area was still far from any light only until the person grabbing the stranger turned on his torch and flashed on the face he had his hands on and with a shiver pushed that person away from him. The person he had grabbed was a girl. She covered her eyes with her hands as the torch light was quiet piercing in such a dark place. She had her hair short enough to barely touch her shoulders and was dressed in a long coat reaching below her knees with jeans.
"W..Who are you?" she demanded
But the figure hiding behind did not answer for a moment.
"Who are you?" she asked once more.
The person turned the torch towards him and removed his mask to reveal a young handsome face with a little surprised expression on his face. He was dressed in black with thick gloves on his hands and a P-cap on his head.
"Serial killer." His deep voice broke the ice.
"S...Serial killer?" her eyes opened a little wider than before and suddenly changed to a pleasant disbelief.
"Is this for real? Are you really a serial killer?" her tone had a touch of a fangirl.
It was his turn to open his eyes even wider.
"I...I have always wished to meet a serial killer..Oh my God I'm so thrilled right now..d..do you have a weapon or a knife or something like that?"
He immediately pulled out something from the pocket at the back of his jeans and started to take steps closer to her. His gaze was threatening. It was something sharp that he held in front of her face. She could see his face clearly now.
"You better stop with your chatting before I rip your head off." He threatened her in a low tone.
"Oh..this actually is real." She tried to touch the pointy end of the object in his hand but before she could reach out for it, she was pushed away.
"You better run away from me or I'm not gonna let you live." He put the object back in the pocket and took her to the jeep she had left behind. As he opened the bonnet and became busy looking for the problems to be fixed she looked at his back still not believing she had just witnessed a serial killer in her lifetime.
A few moments later he closed the bonnet as her jeep was all good to go.
"Next time don't be stupid enough to wire the terminals of a car battery to a generator." He put on his mask and thrusted the keys in her hand and left.
She kept looking at him unless he disappeared in the darkness.
