Sorry, this chapter is really short I know :( but I'm a little busy lately. Anyways keep reading as it's going to be really fun in upcoming chapters;)
They sat in front of each other feeling a little awkward for the first time. They had come to a cafe nearby.
"The kid earlier...how do you know him?" Farhan broke the ice as the silence was getting a little prolonged.
"Uh yeah he works at a restaurant nearby so I know him as I used to pass by the place a lot." she cleared her throat before answering him. He nodded before taking a sip of the orange juice and looked at her from head to toe.
Why does she dress so weirdly?
"So, about last night..."
"So about last night..." both started in unison, and then silenced all of a sudden waiting for the other one to say it.
"You go ahead." Hania threw the ball in his court.
He cleared his throat before leaning towards the table, his hands clasped. "I am serious."
She looked at him in the eyes for the first time, "Why all of a sudden?"
He hesitated as he had not thought about the reason he was going to tell her.
"Uhh...because.." he rubbed his fingers thinking.
Think of something solid!
"Because?"
The creases on his forehead cleared suddenly as he leaned in towards her a little more and looked straight into her eyes without hesitating even a little bit. She didn't know why she was getting so nervous around him even though it was not the first time they were meeting.
"I started to like you."
Her heart started to beat even faster as he heard him say those words. It was strange. Something strange was happening to her, something she has never experienced in her life. She gulped.
"Y...You like me?" she slightly pointed her finger to herself.
He leaned back on his chair, his gaze fixed on her expressions, he was relaxed this time. Perfect!
"Yeah it started all of a sudden", he shrugged carelessly, "And hey..it would be great since you were the first one to ask me that."
She touched her ear in nervousness, her eyes not staying on anything for longer.
"Okay." she said in a low tone.
"okay? Really? so you will talk to your father?"
She nodded.

She closed the door of her room and stood in front of the mirror, her head replaying the words over and over again, "because I like you."
He said he likes me? She knew her heart was pounding as the corners of her lips couldn't help nut turn into a sheepish smile.
"Now It wouldn't be all a lie when I tell my dad that there's this person that likes me." She talked to herself in the mirror while delicately moving her hair strands behind her ear.

Waheed was more astounded than her father at the words she had just said. He looked at her with rounded eyes.
"Who is he?" Jamal turned to look at her, he had a serious expression.
She hesitated to say it the second time, "His name is Farhan and he wants to meet you."
Jamal paused as he brushed his mustache with his fingers and sat down in his chair. Waheed looked like he was about to burst in anger, while gritting his teeth.
"Fine. Bring him here tomorrow."
"Yes dad." She looked at Waheed who turned to leave the room.

He was lying on the street moaning in pain but it was so dark and there was no one around there at such a late hour. The guys that had come to beat him surely had planned it right from the beginning. His forehead was bleeding as he had fallen on the road, and his arms were badly scratched too, everything was spinning right in front of his eyes..
